When I started up my 1999 1500 and tried to drive away all of the sudden the transmission wouldn't work in any gears forward or reverse and I had to rev it to 3,000 rpm's for it to move at all. Never had any issues until that time and the truck has 80,000 miles on it. Any ideas?

Thanks,

stock 5.7 with 6.4l cam and MDS delete
check the trans fluid first and foremost.
the correct way to check any automatic transmission is to put it in gear or at least not park or neutral.
the idea is to have the trans under a load so you can see where the fluid level is.
either set the park-break or have a 2nd person

start with the simple and work your way up style of troubleshooting

Rams are checked in neutral , it is on the dipstick .you should drop the pan and change filter/s at a minimum , you might find an issue there.

Hello, Just dropped the pan and changed the fluid, filter, and changed the governer pressure solenoid. Used Mopar ATF4 fluid. Nothing changed and there are no fault codes. Jusr don't think it is the torque converter or the tranny needs to be rebuilt because it all of the sudden happened.
