Has anyone tried the Go Rino E-Board powered running boards on a late model HD Ram? They are relatively new...I think just released last fall. My local Ram Dealer sells and installs them. They look pretty much the same as Amp Research but use magnets and sensors in the doors and don't use the ODB port like AR does...which Iike.

I'm interested in general opinions of them but more specifically what is the height of the running board off the ground when extended? This is critical for my 5'1" wife. She tried the Ram OEM boards we saw on a 3500 limited at an auto show and she found they made it easier for her to get in and out than the regular running boards I have now. But there is no OEM kit for my 2022 2500 and the dealer is recommending the Go Rino. They do also sell AR but say they are having trouble getting them.

116 views but no replies. I guess I may be the first to get them but Ill be having them installed on Wednesday 4/26. I chose them over the Amp Research for three reasons: 1) don't need the ODB port 2) a bit less expensive and 3) there is an option (which I chose) to get them with the textured spray on bed liner coating. I liked that idea because it seems to me they will be less slippery when wet or snowy.

Ill post a review when I have them.

So, I got my truck back this morning with the Go Rhino E-Board E1 power running boards installed. Following is a video of them on my truck and in operation. Please bear with me as this is the first time I've tried uploading a video to YouTube. The running boards appear well made and the dealership seems to have done a good job installing them. They appear to work faster than other similar products I've seen. What you will have a hard time seeing is the LED lighting in operation as I was taking the video outdoors in bright light. The only negative is that afterwards I discovered that the manufacturer has a 20% off sale going on if you order them online. But I wanted someone to install them for me which meant buying locally. And my Ram dealer was the same price as others in the area at the time I agreed to have them do it. But other than the fact that I could have gotten them cheaper, they seem great so far.

One other thing is that they don't come down as low to the ground as I would have liked. I only gained about 1 inch compared to the Ram cab length running boards I had before (and will now try to sell). Still, even a little bit will help my wife get into the truck a bit easier.

I installed the Aries power steps. Appears to be about the same speed.
Aries gives 2 steps to get in plus they are lighted when they deploy.
I've had them on for almost 2 years and they are still working fine.
Just another option.

That was going to be my 1 comment watching the video, they don't look like they come down as far as my Amps do. Other than that, they look like a solid option.

Pretty cool. I have thought about getting some but have not pulled the trigger.
