I’m getting ready to order wheels and tires for my rumble bee, I’m gonna get either the 22x10 hellcat replicas or the 22x10 srt-10 replicas, I have 2” drop shackles in the rear and plan on new bilstein shocks in all four corners. I wanted to know what tire sizes to get for my wheels and not have any rub whatsoever. I’ve read alot and know 305/45/22’s rub only at full lock which is fine because I actually wanted to go staggered anyway. I wanna do something along the lines of a beefier 305/45 maybe 50? r22 in the rear and go extra safe up front with a 285/45r22 or maybe 50 profile front too?? I know with a narrower tire profile adds more than with a wider tire so should I keep it 45 for the front? Any help or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated cause the only other vehicle I’ve bought wheels for was my 70’ super bee and obviously that’s way different. If you're getting SRT-10 reps and they (or the hellcat ones) come factory spec (offset), stock tire size was 305/40R22; you should have no rub at all. 305/45 will give you a bit more sidewall, but I would avoid that up front.

They do come with the compensated offset to match factory and I wanted to be a little different because I see absolutely everyone with these trucks going with the SRT-10 reps and just matching the factory specs for the viper trucks and I like a more beefy sidewall for looks and as a bonus they tend to ride better. I’m with you on avoiding the 305/45 up front, I do for sure want 305/45 in the rear but I did some research and saw that some of the late model rams come factory with 285/45r22 in all 4 corners with the rims being 22x9. Is there anything keeping me from doing 22x9 in the front with the 285/45 and eliminate rub even being possible and then the 22x10 with 305/45 in the rear? And would it make the truck sit unleveled or be visibly wonky or would it be unnoticeable and the only difference being the width? Appreciate the help

If I follow through with the staggered idea I have access to a tire machine so I’d just remount and balance them

Peeling and remounting won't help the life expectancy of the tires.

Another member here may be able forecast what you could expect for time frame or number of reinstallations.

I'd never do it myself. Tires are one of the most important and critical elements used to make my truck fun and more importantly, keep me safe and alive.

Anything that compromises them in any way, shape, or form, just does not compute for me. Best of luck.

YMMV

Honestly probably just gonna copy everyone else with the nt420v’s 305/45r22 and just deal with a slight rub at full lock. If I do stay with a 305/40 nitto doesn’t make that size in the nt420v that I know of but falken does that’s probably who I’d go with if I decided I want less profile. Has anyone used the falken that can tell me about them? They are the “Ziex S/TZ-05”. But like I said I’ll probably just go with the nitto 305/45 who knows maybe it’s just some plastic in the wheel wells I can trim back to eliminate any scrubbing if I have any with me being leveled. They’re actually cheaper than the 285/45 too to my surprise. But thanks guys

305/45’s on all 4, but the tires have rubbed the sway bar a hair on both sides of the front.
