I wanted a subtle change but not something everyone else has done so I painted my center cap and lugs semi gloss black 2 coats and 2 coats clear coat. And debadged the truck and I’ve special ordered some black 345 hemi badges can’t wait for those to come in.IMG_0506.jpeg

Not sure any week past this will feel so life changing.

Besides for the dog's for taking the back seat out and putting in a platform, helluva lot more room for the product when setting up the wife's booth at the vendor show. Got all of this in and it didn't go above the bottom of the rear glass

Decided to change out the Amber lens covers and try out Lumin-X lens covering.

I do like the deeper color, but will have to test it out to see if it’s functional as well. Really like the amber color of the Rigids I have on the hood. May end up just changing out the cubes ultimately.

Wrapped up the overhead light switch project. Works, and function as I planned. I did go down on switch size slightly, because I wasn’t able to find the three colors I wanted in the original plan, but did find then a size smaller. Which works out good because I was concerned about having a big bright light bugging me from the switch ON. Not an issue now :waytogo:

Also discovered that the garage door controler also controls the compass. With the controller unplugged and removed….. rather than get N, S, E, W indications, now it’s simply dashed lines.

I‘ll have to see if there is a work around for that, as I want everything to function :waytogo:

...now your truck displays about the same amount of directional awareness as my wife.

I dumped in a bottle of RL SI-1 cleaner in the empty tank and put in about 45 liters.

Came home and did a MOPAR combustion chamber cleaner - popped in two cans whilst at idle and then shut her down for the night. Took her out in the morning and killed the atmosphere for a while... drive her at 3000rpm in 5th gear for a good while on the highway and brought her home after a good running.

After cooling I took off the FastMan TB and did a deep cleaning, including a good dump of TB cleaner in the intake. Popped in a new PCV valve (holy crap these things are not cheap!!), cleaned the catch can, and then took her out again for a good run, again.

Then a week later I popped in new NGK Ruthenium HX plugs, and dang, a noticeable improvement in the overall running of my engine, plus a tad better fuel mileage, too. Truck feels smoother and pulls nicer after all this cleaning and new plugs.

Today I had a new set of tires installed, LT295/65R20 Michelin Defender LTX M/S and set them all at 40psi cold. The road force balancing saw a max weight of 2.25 oz of weight on only one tire. all the rest were between 0.75 and 2 oz of weight. Watched the whole mount, balance and install.

These tires are so dang smooth and road happy. Not a ripple in the drive, and I flogged her good on the highway to full cut off..and all was great.

I do a ton of highway driving and although I was not disappointed with my LT285/65R20 BFG KO2's (again, 40psi, cold), they were not an overall highway tire and I had some balancing issues this season when I put them on (I store them properly and use a dedicated 17" winter rim and tire combo for that time of season).

This was their 3rd season and were at only 11/32nd tread depth with a smooth and flat surface (I'm ridiculous about alignment and tire pressure), but after three balancing
sessions at two shops I had enough of that and went to a full highway tire (aggressive A/T looks be danged...lol).

I am stock springs and have the 5100 Bilstein's on all four corners, and the fronts set to 2.1" height increase to help level out the front end, and no wheel spacers.

These new LT295/65R20 Michelin's fit perfectly with zero rub at full turn in either direction. No rub on the sway bar, and no rub on the UCA's either.

My baby sits nice and high now with these new summer tires on, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great LT tires with highway manners and low weight balancing requirements.

Picked these up today.

Will contemplate how I might want to mount them this weekend.

Ive got a Amp bed extension bar, so can’t utilize both at the same time, but would like to have both mounting hardware in position so I can swap between the two setups as needed.

Looks like the Amp bar mounts might need to be raised up 1/2” or so to do that.

Oh I looked at those. NICE pickup. My only concern is the gas bottle carrier I plan to build for the trips to and from.the welding shop. In my case the two are incompatible.

Thanks. I like the idea of the storage space it can provide, and the fact that they are ‘removable’.

Same token…. The bed extender has worked out great too :waytogo:

I’ve got so many ideas in my head of how I’d mod one out.

Look forward to see which direction you take yours :waytogo:
Performance wise I think I'm done, but I've got a couple more cosmetic things in mind on top of what I've already done.

Changed out the stock grill for a gloss black one, and painted the intake to match and added a Hemi sticker for that old skool look. And I found a Challenger at a nearby dealership I wish I could afford so I could have a matching pair.20230408_153201.jpg20230408_181951.jpg20230408_161542.jpgResized_20230422_145218.jpeg
