I am thinking about adding a back up camera on my 2011 1500 Sport. The truck didn't come with that option, and doesn't have a touch screen radio. Would it be possible to buy a radio with touch screen and blue tooth, then add the camera? Would the factory wiring already have the necessary connections to do this?

Thanks in advance for help.

The radio in my 2012 Outdoorsman went bad (internal amp died). I bought a Sony (there are several choices) head unit at Best Buy, along with a back up camera. They installed both for me, with no problem in about an hour. I now have Blue Tooth, Apple Car Play, the camera and better sound to boot. I did not opt to pay for the satellite receiver, as I never used it. Prefer the local stations for the news and traffic reports.

Thanks for the info. I had Sirius for a while but got tired of paying for radio, so I probably wouldn't want satellite either. I found a few on the Crutchfield website, just wasn't sure about if it would work. Thanks for that.

Not a problem at all. The stereo install was free, they were running a special spend a certain amount (wasn't much) and get a free install. Think I paid $35 or $40 for the camera install. The camera isn't as accurate as an OEM one, but it does let me see behind the truck, and stops me in plenty of time before you hit anything (it does allow me to see anyone behind the truck though - like the Grand Kids). Still use my mirrors more than anything.
