Collecting more parts. Went with the RC forged arms with the corrected BJ angle. Went back and forth on these and JBA/Zone. For how I use my truck, these will be perfectly fine. She’s a pavement princess 90% of the time with the occasional job in the back yard or forestry trail ride. So I’ve got these, the 5100 front assemblies, now waiting for the rear shocks to show up and some time to install it all

About to give the truck a nice Absolute rinseless wash.
Beautiful weather for it. 65 degrees, sunny and a slight wind here and there.

Swapped in a new WIX oil filter and 10.5 quarts of fresh 5-40 Rotella T6 yesterday. Just shy of 90,000 miles.

Just cleaned my TB, hopefully fixes my weird starting issue that started a couple of days ago.

Did you check codes? Dirty TB would be a rough idle from my experiences. Maybe a vacuum issue.

I didn't, no check engine light on though. Could also be the gas in it, it's been in there since early March and it is pretty warm out right now.
Runs fine after it starts.

Next is some Redline injection cleaner and a fresh tank of gas.

Put on a Rustoleum bed liner. Prepping is all about the details. Came out better than expected..

Looks great, good job!
Been wanting to have mine redone as it’s coming off in spots around the top of the bed. Toying with the idea of painting it red afterwards..was told it turns pink quickly which is a bummer.

Everybody talks crap about RC but since my truck isn't a hardcore offroader, I figured their new arms would be fine for me. I'm impressed with the quality overall and they were a couple hundred cheaper than the others. We'll see how they do once installed

That's my weekend toy. It's an '85 GMC, originally a 305/T350/2.73 long bed truck out of NC. The guy I bought it from had it cut down to a short bed, then I did the 5/7 drop, 20s and cammed aluminum 5.3/4L65/3.90 combo. It's about to come apart again for a T56 6-speed and more goodies.

Yeah man, I've always loved squares. I want to add a 4x4 to the fleet eventually, either a single cab longbed up on 35s or a K5 Blazer

Back in high school my DD was an 83 350/350 swapped SWB black on black square. They are cool trucks. I can not believe how expensive they have gotten. I was always big into slamming the late 80s early 90s square Burbans.
