Nice wheels… I thought about going to 17’s but I think I wanna stay 18’s. Plus they’re -12 offset. I’d prefer to stay at 0 - +12.
I didn't think they were what you were wanting, but figured i'd throw them out there for you to consider.

Ugh you've got me contemplating 17's now... Looked at a few rams with 17x9 on customoffset.com and they look good with 33's.

Plus I can drop 2lbs more on the wheel and go to a LT285/70/17 in K02's at 51lbs for a -12lb difference (75lbs total), Goodyear Duratrac at 54lbs in the same size for 78lbs total, -9lbs, or the same Radar Renegade RT's at 56lbs 80lbs total, -7lbs.

:banana-mario:

But I don't know if I trust that tire yet, it's too new (bronco OEM tire) and the few reviews out there aren't the best.
If you're considering the Mickey 17's they are relatively cheap, lol. I picked my last set up, when they were on sale for under $200 Canuck from my local speed shop, but that was at the start of Covid, when things were still affordable ;). At one point ,i had 5 sets of them, but i had a few buddies who scrounged them off me,lol

Thinking about Black Rhino Guides now, probably still in black, but my truck with mud covered "bronze" wheels looked good, and that midnight blue glossy is luscious... but I feel in person it would be too bright. If its super deep almost black in person that would be !!!! (How it looks in the video is nice).

I noticed the video is the 17x9 -38 wheel so the lip is dramatically different on 17x9 +0. Found a pic on a Frontier here Guide 17x9 and I'm not totally sold.

**edit** for anyone considering a re-drill, look for 5x5 (127) wheels as the 5x150 bolt pattern is pushing the limits of our hubs. I’ve removed those from possible wheels I’m looking for which means the two Black Rhino wheel models I liked are not longer contenders

Raceline 17x9 25lbs

Stumbled across these today.
17x9 -12, listed as 25lbs ram 5x139.7 bolt pattern

**edit** looked them up on discount tire and they’re listed as 35 lbs sooo emailed the manufacturer to clarify. Le sigh.

**edit** found another manufacturer that makes lightweight stuff… Falcon

Here’s some in 5x127 figment

Falcon T2 at 17x9 -12 and 23.8lbs.

So I ended up picking up a set of Kansei KND Offroad wheels in 17x8.5 +0 5x139.7 (correct bolt pattern) supposedly 22.9lbs!!!!

I get them on Thursday and will keep you posted.

Plan on pairing them with 285/70/17 KO2’s at 51lbs for a total of 73.9lbs combined weight and a reduction of 13.1 lbs per corner vs my current setup and also RT vs AT so hopefully regain some fuel economy as well as switching up the look.

Did anyone try to swap the wheel hubs and half axles from the 5th gen onto the 4th gen?

Got my wheels in today, I’m 99% stoked / excited.

They clear the calipers no problem, come in at 22.2 lbs, and have flat center caps! (Also one of my pet peeves are the raised center caps of the Moto metals).

BUT, all of the wheels have gouges in the finish that I can tell are from the hangers they used when coating the wheels. Yeah it’s on the inner barrels, but I’ve never bought NEW wheels with gouges in them like this before (or any wheel actually).

Here’s the new wheels and tires on.
I love them. Gives the truck an entirely different look.

These Toyo at3’s are f’n loud; way louder than the outgoing radar renegade rt’s; very surprising considering the rt’s are way more aggressive.

*edit* in doing more research seems like many on other forums have said they “hum” above 50… I dunno if “hum” is the right word. They sound like a dubstep song.

**2nd edit; they’re louder than my carven progressive exhaust… I dunno if these are gonna stay on the truck.

Anyway, gonna level it (already have 5100’s on the truck) and I think I’ll be super happy.

71lbs total weight of wheels and tires, down from 87. Should make a noticeable difference to mpg also.

quick update on mpg, my city mileage has gone from 13.8 to 15.0. Over the last month as a sample test. I’m pretty happy with that.

Also I found out that my tires were cupped (used) which was contributing to the noise. Couple quick burnouts has quieted them significantly.

Couldn't deal with the cupped Toyos so swapped them out for p285/70/17 Falken AT3s.
Weight of balanced wheel and tire together ~ 70lbs, down 17lbs of rotating mass per corner from the 20" & LT275/60/20 setup I had. Now to fix my exhaust leak so I can track the real mpg benefits. But I also lifted my truck (bilstein 5100's moved from 1st to 4th clip) and 1” Motofab rear coil spacer, so all in all probably nothing will change

Update, they were more than cupped.
One tire had a bad patch of uneven tire wear, about 6” in diameter that was 2/32” low when the rest of the tire was 8/32” so not a Toyo AT3 issue.
