Congrats on your retirement and the next chapter!

I stepped out of my truck also so know how you feel. It's hard to give things up when there are external factors that drive your decision. My wife also never drove my truck ("too big" also).

Congrats on the truck. My wife has a Ranger and, even though it is only a 4-cylinder, the 270 Hp it puts out is still 270 Hp.

Nothing, and I will really miss that truck. As I mentioned earlier, my wife would not drive my big-a$$ Ram, and we are down to 1 vehicle now. So, the compromise was a bit smaller vehicle, but it had to be a truck - so I went with this one and I really like it.
My wife doesn't like to drive my Ram, but she will. But she also drives a Bluebird Blood Mobile and a Cat D12.

Ford with the rear Leafs give a harsh ride, Chevy has the 2.7L twin turbo a high reeving engine, not the interior of your Limited, good luck with your purchase.
Having owned / owning both, I would not say that the F150 ride is harsh. Empty, the Ram's ride is a little better than the F150s though.

I am retired, female and have a 2019 Ram 3500 HO duallie diesel 4WD.
Not too big for me and I wouldn't trade it, fuel prices here included.
There is something about a 5 foot and a bit, white haired woman behind the wheel of this truck that seems to terrify people, regardless of their sex.
But as some actor once said, and it applies to all and I have updated it, "A person's got to know their limitations"
Enjoy, anyway

True, but it's "A man's got to know his limitations." Apparently women have none. :Big Laugh:

I had a 2019 Canyon and really loved that truck. With the 3.6L it was more than adequate for towing my 2 place enclosed snowmobile trailer. I would still be driving it today but when I retired in 2020, we bought a travel trailer and needed a bigger truck. But I do miss the Canyon when I'm not towing and need to manuver in tight spaces or even just trying to squeeze into my garage.

I’d take that four banger over a GM 3.6. My last vehicle was a V6 Camaro and that engine was trouble.

Having had the GMC now for several days now, I have to say that GM really nailed it with this one. It really is very comparable to my Ram Limited, albeit a bit smaller. I love being able to actually turn into a parking space, the ride is way nicer than I was expecting and the attention to detail on the interior is very Ram-like. However, there are a few things I don't like. For example, I was a little shocked that it doesn't come with built-in garage door opener, there is no sub woofer for the high-end Bose audio system, no power folding mirrors, and for me personally, I don't like the placement of the side step. It's kind of in the way, and it's too high. The thing I think I dislike most is the sound of that 4-cylinder engine - sounds like a freakin' lawn mower. But other than that, this thing is a keeper, IMO.

The Bose sucks, easily the worst 'high end' domestic truck stereo. GM thinks you listen to smooth jazz exclusively, I think.

Does yer new F150 ride that poor vs the RAM? Wow, thought Ford had a better idea to improve stuff.
Drove a 2021 f150 last summer for a few weeks and found the ride easily on par with my truck. Few years older and they didn't ride so nice. The latest generation seems to have that sorted out. All the lane keep assist, brake assist, warning to check the back seat for kids every time you shut the truck down etc drove me nuts though.

The newest F-150s ride pretty well BUT the back end is way more skittish than the Ram. I took several competitors on a curving on-ramp with a mid sized (for here) pot hole. Even the designed for high speed Raptor skitters when you hit a good bump in a curve at speed. I get they aren't sports cars, and in fairness they skitter in a fairly predictable way, but they just aren't as planted as their same weight class equivalents in the RAM or even the Chevy. For smooth-ish pavement, I agree, it's nearly a wash. Our roads suck, though, and that was actually a pretty solid concern for me.
