So as soon as the brake controller recall came out in February I put my name on the list at my local dealer, as well as another one an hour away. And of course they said it's a big wait, they only get 2 a week. Yet I'm constantly reading about people who have simply been able to go down and get it done. Many say they were able to expedite it by calling Ram Care, so I did that, and they called the dealer. But the dealer still says they can't get stock. I rarely see a 2025+ Ram in my city, and the dealer also says they are not saving them for the trucks on the lot (of which they don't sell many). Any other suggestions?

I was trying to see online if anyone had them in stock, but 2 different ones show up on the Mopar parts site even after entering my VIN.

Not a big fan of the Mopar site. It claims they are both in stock and I can order it and have it delivered this week. But I called the dealer it listed (Las Vegas) and they said all their parts are allocated and there is a wait list.

Edit: I chatted with customer care today and they said there is still limited supply. But the chat doesn't go to the same people as the phone, they said I had to call to see who had it in stock. A bit lame that customer care didn't tell me the truth last week.

Those part numbers are available in 5-7 days

Please let me know if you have any other questions at this time.

Thank you,

Thanks. In talking with the dealer apparently they use a special part number for recalls, and I'd have to use that to get the recall cleared in my records.

I hate to add to your woes but I have had mine done. Didn’t even ASK for it. They said they would order, I just thought, yeah okay see that in a few months…..I went in for service less than two weeks later and it came out with part fitted as well! I do think it’s which dealer you use. All good once done, although I didn’t actually have any issues for that recall to be needed. I heard so many stories, I didn’t want it but hey ho! All good. They do need to actually have your vehicle present to order parts, pics, vin number or whatever…..

Haha no worries thanks. I talked to the parts department today again and they said they have placed an order for me specifically but the part is backordered with no estimated delivery date. I've talked to 4 dealers and they have all said the same thing, so it's perplexing that others have had no problem getting it done.

Waiting for parts can be tedious. We understand how you feel in that regard. Our team would like to extend our support where able. At any time, DM us with your VIN and the name of the dealership(s) you're working with.

What year of trucks does this recall cover? Have not heard of this until now.
