Hey all, my fox shocks i got with my BDS lift have already gone bad, (blown out, leaking and squeaky) after 8 months. So instead of getting ones from BDS again and having them go bad 8 months from now, how would i go about choosing a better quality set from another company, such as bilstein? All i know is the lengths are : 29.78" extended, 17.5" compressed.

Would i be able to get something like the bilstein 7100s? I dont know how to choose valving on them and such

thanks! :kiss1:

bilstein's have a lifetime warranty on their shocks, so no worries. I didn't prefer the HD bils I got a while back, but love the 5100's. The entry level ones are real harsh IMO.

WARRANTY DETAILS FOR TC (B4) / C / HD (B6) / Sport (B8) / BTS (B12) / PSS (B14) / PSS9 & PSS10 (B16) / 5100 (Application Specific) GAS PRESSURE SHOCKS

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Bilstein warrants to the original retail purchaser that, for the life of each Gas Pressure Shock, this product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship. Proof of purchase is required process warranty. Please return product to the original place of purchase.

Looks like the ones you want only have 90 day warranty. Anyhow, never heard any problems with bilsteins. Have heard horror stories with some other shocks pro comp mainly, but KYB and Bills are top shelf.

Looks like off road applications they don't want to accept responsibility for, can't blame them? So I've ordered shocks for a 4 inch lift in the past, and that was all they needed to order the right shock.

Well bilstein was just an idea! seems like the most reasonably price ones with the best performance! suggestions are appreciate for any others haha. i have the 5100 adjustables in the front and i like em, im just looking for how to order the right length ones and i guess what weight or what ever i should get them for? because i assume 7100 shocks could go on anything from trucks to offroad stuff eh?

I was in the boat as you when the shocks that came with the RCX 6in lift were garbage from the start. so I did the research and found these. Bilstein 5100 Series Shock Absorber # 24-186636. The oem bilstein only have a 26in stroke on them so I wouldn't run them with a lift. But the ones I posted are 29in stroke and bolt write in. I've been using them now for a month and it was like going from a delta 88 to a Cadillac.
