at the office we had an '06 2500 with the hemi it had 330,000 miles before it puked up the crank rods, never taken care of other then the usual oil change. so i think im in pretty good shape at 21,000.

I am at 29,*** on my 2012 RAM 1500 Quad Cab Express HEMI 2wd. The right side heated mirror didn't work last winter so I need to have that fixed before the 3 year, 36k warranty expires next may.

The main issue I had was the transmission went south at approximately 4500 miles. My truck has the 6 speed. It all started when my wipers came on at highway speeds late one night then the transmission went into limp mode and was stuck in 4th gear even from a stop. I babied it home then one of the transmission lines exploded as I pulled up my driveway. It had to be towed into the dealership first thing the following morning. Turns out an electrical issue caused one of the transmission solenoids to get stuck in a high pressure condition. They fixed the electrical issue but the transmission whined terribly and slipped occasionally afterwards. After fighting Chrysler for about 2 months they finally replaced the transmission. They had it in the shop for almost a month and wouldn't give me a rental until I put a nasty post on RAM's Facebook page with a photo of my truck being dragged up onto a flatbed trailer when it was first towed. They gave in and gave me a rental car free of charge which they should have done from the beginning considering it was a three month old truck at the time. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth concerning Chrysler but I am feeling much better about my truck now about two years later. No problems since and all it has required is normal oil changes and tire rotations. I am going to have to put new tires on it within the next year as the factory Goodyears are close to the wear markers.

21K; only weak spot has been the awful year wrangler tires. Two un-repairable punctures already. tough tires? Really? Not for my $400. :flipthebird:

LOL.. I have a work van that helps out on the miles. Unless I'm towing I hardly drive it.
