Perfectly fine....and since I also installed the tailgate drop assist I don't worry about the magnets coming loose at all..so can most likely skip the glue part...YMMV lol

also Harbor freight sells 90# magnets too...damn...must of been out of stock when I did mine....

Has come in handy many times since I've installed these....normally have the tailgate open when working on my other vehicles as it places my tools at the perfect height along with making an excellent table top for placing the parts and what not....just....comes in handy..

No ****! Never thought of this and it would be perfect for my uses, don't set your phone or laptop on it though...

This is a genius idea. I agree with the others above...patent this dude. You could seriously make some money off of this. I'm definitely going to do this now.

I dont see the point other than keeping nuts and bolts in there. its not going to hold a drink. and like some one said if you sit on it with your wallet you could screw up your cards. I want to like this but I just to see a purpose. Unless you park on a really steep hill and you use your tailgate as a work bench.

Im not trying to **** in anyones cornflakes here but whens the last time you put a nut in that cup holder spot and its rolled away and you thought to yourself "DAMN IT, I need to do something about this, its the 5th time this week that has happened"?

Its more so, for me at least great as i also own two jeeps and im constantly upgrading or working on them.....always use my tailgate for a tool bench and got tired of accidentally bumping bolts and nuts around.....bought a magnetic tray and thought hell....i never use the "cup holders" for cups....i always put small bolts n nuts there so why not....so far.....for me....works great! YMMV

I personally like the idea - its very good !!! I've been thinking of something different. I was thinking of cutting out the recesses, making them deeper (bondo, resin etc) ... enough that a drink would sit in it and not fall over or what ever .... just a thought
