    Amber fog light recommendation

Maybe late for the party, but I used CJC Offroad bracket w/ BajaDesigns Squadron lights. This is my first time buying top shelf LEDs. Ive always thought, "they're all the same. Why spend that much..." Boy, was I wrong. These babies are like turning on the Sun! I have to be careful not to use...

TCW3 (2 Stroke Oil) in Gasoline?

This is 100% true for my truck and jeep. I dont need this for either larger vehicle, but the small carbureted engines see the perceived benefit. Im going to pull a few spark plugs this weekend and see how they look. Im half tempted to try and contact Project Farm and say, "hey man! Ive got a...

    WINDSHIELD DAMAGE

Ill say that my 2020 1500 had the worst windshield of any vehicle ive ever owned. Chips, cracks, runs and spiderwebs everywhere. Sometimes we just get a bad windshield. Maybe the construction process was done improperly and its not tempered correctly.

TCW3 (2 Stroke Oil) in Gasoline?

Alot of things make me feel good that I'd better stay far, far away from. o_O I own only (2) small 2-stroke engines, the chainsaw and the weedeater. I like the premix Trufuel because its ethanol free and lasts several years in the can. If I used a 2-stroke everyday id be more apt to mix my...

TCW3 (2 Stroke Oil) in Gasoline?

Dont have a scope, but I can pull the 4-wheeler, generator, and a jeep plug to see how they look. Those three engines have had that mixture in the tank for a good long while.

TCW3 (2 Stroke Oil) in Gasoline?

TCW3 treated fuel burn test and standard 87 octane burn test. Watch how much cleaner the fuel burns when treated. It could be unicorn farts and fairy boogers though... It stand to reason that since the burn is "less explosive" it would lower the octane rating, no? Remember guys, this is a Q&A...

TCW3 (2 Stroke Oil) in Gasoline?

Just looking for concrete factual information besides, "hogwash", when it stats very clearly it does what you say it doesnt... Theres 30 years worth of information using this stuff and im asking legitimate petroleum experts for their opinion. Im offering information, not any rebuttal. Im not...

TCW3 (2 Stroke Oil) in Gasoline?

The man I was waiting for! Not trying to argue. Just a healthy discussion because ive been using it for so long. Its a rabbit hole for sure. Heres what I found on the "ashless" oil used in TCW3 certifications. "Ashless detergents are used in low temperature applications such as TCW3 oils...

TCW3 (2 Stroke Oil) in Gasoline?

And its a pull start! First or second pull everytime, even in the winter. Comparing the Sta-bil Marine 360 and Pennzoil Marine TCW3 basically claim the same thing. Both treat the fuel for moisture and ethanol. Both remove carbon build up and combustion chamber deposits. Both lubricate the...

TCW3 (2 Stroke Oil) in Gasoline?

I get that some of this is "warm fuzzies", but ive personally seen the benefits in small engines. I have an '05 Honda Foreman that would give me constant trouble starting and running. When I started using this mixture all the troubles went away. Maybe the carb was just gunked up and it helped...

TCW3 (2 Stroke Oil) in Gasoline?

From what ive read it lubricates the fuel system and upper cylinders, cleans the injectors, removes water from the gas, treats/stabilizes the ethanol, among other things. Im not interested in advancing or retarding ignition, but I would like to know if the additive does one or the other. I...

    12" Killing USB memory sticks

My wife laughs at me because I use a 32 GB stick with THOUSANDS of songs on it. I use it like my own personal radio station. Put that baby on random and never hear the same song twice. Ive had several UConnects over the years and never knew this was a problem. (Knocking on wood)

TCW3 (2 Stroke Oil) in Gasoline?

Im interested in the wizards' opinions around here if this still an accepted practice. I recently got my first 6.4L and have found out that the engine is very different than the 5.7Ls im familiar with. Im a true believer in using TCW3, 1oz. / 5gal. ratio, in small engines. I found that using...

What did you do with your 5th Gen this week?

I think if they and the 2nd Amendment Foundation would cut back on the junk mail they could afford to invest in many other ways of promotion. I get so sick of throwing away piles of paper mail that never get opened.

What did you do with your 5th Gen this week?

Installed CJC Offroad Ditch Light and Fog Light brackets w/ Baja Designs Squadron lights. It started raining so I didnt get any pictures. This is my first time buying 'top shelf' LEDs and I have to say, "Spend. The. Money." These bad boys are like turning on the Sun at night. Like Laser beams I...

    water in rear cab

Ill be changing out my third brake light seal this weekend when I install LEDs up there. Ive done it to the last 2 trucks I had and never had an issue. The factory seal is junk. Its basically foam that deteriorates over time.

    Whos Got Mud Flaps ?

Just ordered the WeatherTech flaps. They look alot better then what I had initially picked out. I like the lifetime warranty, so if one gets damaged I can replace it. $160 seemed steep at first, but when you figure what a paint repair would cost due to rock chips, ill cough it up. I have an...

6.4L Oil Pressure - Idle vs Cruising

Perfect response! Im currently using Mobil 1 0w-40 w/ Lubegard and Wix OEM sized filter. Next OCI, Ill use the RP 20-500 and Redline oil. Dont know which visc. ill use yet. It appears the RP 20-500 size filter will boost the pressure a few psi, based on your comment.

6.4L Oil Pressure - Idle vs Cruising

Im pretty adamant about not idling my truck either. I actually passed up buying a '22 2500 because it had a crazy high idle hours number.

6.4L Oil Pressure - Idle vs Cruising

See below for a dirty answer on why you increase psi with a larger filter. "With the dual filters i picked up a couple psi from idle on up to redline,as there's less pressure drop across 2 filters then 1 filter" https://www.ramforum.com/threads/remote-oil-filtration-system.203702/#post-2840873

6.4L Oil Pressure - Idle vs Cruising

That was my experience with using a larger oil filter on my 1500. I always thought of it like a water hose, finger over the hole = more pressure / less volume, finger off the hole = less pressure / more volume To my surprise, a larger oil filter raised my idle psi a few points... Im sure there...
