    thanks for the reply, decided to go AL. this time, CM claims on their webpage that the extruded AL is rated for about 600lbs per sq ft. i had a SK steel and the powdercoatings after a few years was shot, in all the weld areas.

    Bummer, was hoping for a directly 3 dial hvac swap. Not really interested in the 8.4 screen , I enjoy the ease of just changing a dial Vs having to use a touch screen to change HVaC from floor to defroster etc

    same exactly … the part was designed, cleared by design management, to be a fully adjustable part. It’s now not adjustable- Wonder if that guy would be upset if they said hey we know oil is necessary for engine life but ehh the oil pan screw kept backing out so we decided to weld it...

    Anyone know the difference in these two part #s? besides the 1 digit change? apparently these two are the updated part # for the trash draglink design of your original trucks... only thing i can see is maybe it is for c/c trucks, but i wasnt aware they had difference steering setup or design...

    its in regards to the drag link issue recall - which we are all pretty aware of. I frankly figured directly messaging them would illicit the fastest / most direct response but that didnt happen hence my question of what was the usual dwell time on getting an inbox response.

    i know this has been discussed , but all discussions seem to revolve around upgrading the 8" screen as well which forces you to upgrade to the different climate controls bezel im looking to upgrade from 4 to 7 speed but keep the 3 dial controls. - i enjoy physically changing my climate...
