My truck has aftermarket headlights that uses H7 bulbs. I have my HID kit from my previous vehicle but with my headlights using H7 instead of the OEM 9005, would a H7 to 9005 harness work with it? Particularly the one in the attached screenshot.
I'll look into these, thank you. Might be a little while before I can get all that though with the cost being around roughly $150. Wasn't sure if there was just a cheaper harness for now to connect the included resistors my headlights came with to see if that helps any.
Any idea what the best affordable security bypass harness is? I read I can use an ELM327 device which a friend has so it's really just the app and harness I'd need. Its a 4th gen 2021 1500 Classic SLT.
In the attached image is the harness that came with my newer headlight assemblies. The larger connector goes to the headlight while the smaller connector goes to the resistor. I'm thinking maybe the resistor may help with the LED flickering but I don't have a way to connect these assemblies...
Thank you. I'll check this out later. The output is nice, just the annoying flicker. It only happens after I shift to drive. As I'm going down the road, they flicker for about 10 seconds then stop for maybe 30 seconds and repeat. Not bad to where they look like they're out but still very noticeable.
I have a 2021 RAM 1500 Classic 3.6L. I changed out the headlight assemblies to new ones that take H7 bulbs. I swapped the halogens for Fahren Termitor LEDs. I had a flicker which I didn't with the old assemblies I put LEDs in. Contacted Fahren and they said to try Nilight CANbus decoders. I...
I'll look more into it. When I bought it, he seemed confused when I mentioned the website labeled it a Warlock. I'm more confused getting different answers from various websites.
When I bought my truck, the dealership website said it was a Classic Warlock. Many websites I used to search my VIN say either Classic Warlock or Classic SLT. It's a 2021 1500 Classic but not sure exactly which one it's considered. I just got the recall alert and when checking, CarFax calls it a...
My original headlight assemblies took 9005 bulbs for highs and lows. I swapped the halogens out for Carifex LEDs which worked very well. I now have new assemblies that take H7 bulbs. Looking for recommendations on what brand is good and bright for projectors. I thought about Carifex again but...
Ended up checking this out and it says it's a little over 1" wide. The hole looks about 1/2" so I'll have to try a different option. Not sure if it would work from the panel below since I can't get a ratchet or screwdriver to go in straight to the screw.
Yes it does. I'll have to try and see if that works. I tried a torx bit but it was skipping and turning very slowly when it was catching. Might have to try different sizes until I get the right fit.
I was thinking about doing that over the past weekend but didn't have the time. Worse case scenario, may have to do that if I don't find an easier way.
Thank you, I'll have to look into this. Between this and the flexible extension, one of them is bound to work. I'll have to see if the hardware store carries this so I can get it tomorrow. If not, I can wait on Amazon.
Thank you. I never actually thought about this. I might have to take a trip to Lowes or Home Depot to see if they have it. I also was looking at a swivel ratchet tool but didn't find it smaller than 3/4". This might actually be what I'll need.
I've been on the search for a headlight adjustment tool and cannot find what I'm looking for. I bought new aftermarket headlights and the adjustment screw is rear facing. It fits either a Phillips screwdriver or 8mm socket. I can't get to the screw from the panel above the tire and can't get in...
Sorry for the delay, not sure where to find the firmware version. In my settings, my only option is System Information then Software License. I attached a photo of what it shows there. Nothing else in settings under System Information. The next day, I was able to get it to work again but it does...
Tonight, I ran into a new issue after having my truck for over a year. It is a 2021 Ram 1500 Classic SLT 3.6L with the 8.4" Uconnect head unit. It has been working fine up until today when my phone lost connection with the unit. It started while I was parked. Music was playing through wired...
