Just got back from a 2000 mile round trip down to Austin, TX and had my recall notification in the mail, finally. Says they don't currently have a remedy and will mail another notice when they do. They also mention reimbursement for having already paid for the repair. I sank $300 down the...
Just wasted two hours of my life cutting off the negative battery terminal, cutting back the absolute bare minimum amount of wire necessary, then crimping on three separate copper terminals to replace the one, 3 way factory part since no one makes one like it and God forbid Ram give up and extra...
Doing some tractor work tday and managed to snag the edge of my lowered tailgate with the corner of my front end loader bucket this afternoon and she's toast. I don't have the money to replace it with a nice one and this one isn't going to be worth repairing so I figured I'd see if anyone else...
I've removed the cab bolts and reinstalled them myself while putting a body lift on. Throw a wrench on them to make sure they're tight and forget about them.
I'm over 50 years old. I learned to drive a long time before cell phones were around and sure as hell didn't have cruise control on my first several vehicles or any of them I put a couple hundred thousand miles on for Uncle Sam in my time. Perhaps you don't mind critical components taking a...
Thank you for posting the update. I'm in the same situation having not enjoyed my cruise control on two separate 2000+ mile trips now over the past 18 months. I also just about put it in a ditch a month ago trying to get out in to a short opening in traffic, glad there wasn't a cop around as I...
I won't be taking mine in for any recall related to this crap. Mainly as it ****** me off to no end that we have an American company being fined billions of dollars by our own government for something their competitors in China and India don't pay any attention to. Who do you think is going to...
My 18 is closing in on 90k relatively trouble free miles. We just replaced the solenoid packs in our 2012 1500 at 140k. Is this common enough that I should consider swapping in some new components before experiencing any issues? I don't do a lot of towing and I baby the truck most of the time...
After 10 months of listening to that annoying dinging I finally pulled the fuse and shut it up before a 2k mile fishing trip to Canada last month. The red brake light, ABS and TC lights are on all the time but the noise and disruption to the EVIC display are gone. I'm basically giving up on it...
They'd be cutting those welds and correcting it or replacing the parts to make it right. I had my truck aligned at the dealership and found the same issue. I made it a block down the street before turning around and taking it back. Took all of 15 minutes to straighten out the steering wheel.
I'm getting ready for an 1800 mile round trip and would prefer not to listen to the annoying alarm going of for this issue every 15 seconds. Does anyone know which fuse I can pull to silence it? I looked on the lid of the fuse panel and it looked like there may have been a couple possibilities.
Stumbled across this option on Youtube and hadn't seen it before. I haven't checked mine yet but the steering has been a little wonky and the steering column insert bearing option only made a slight improvement. I've got 85k on it and have been running wide 35's since it had 5k on it. Not...
Does anyone else who is experiencing this issue have it come and go? It's almost as if mine is made worse by bumpy roads. We had warm dry weather here today so I took my 2500 on a 3 hour round trip to pick up a new kayak. When I started the truck both lights were on but I wasn't getting the...
I've had my 2018 2500 parked for months due to this issue. I fire it up and drive (very carefully) around the country roads to get everything up to operating temp on occasion to hopefully prevent the batteries from dying and to keep everything lubed up. Mine went out when I went to accelerate...
I suspect mine is failing as well. It decided to let me know when I was on the interstate in a light rain and went to accelerate/pass. You get some strange looks and some thumbs up when you kick an 8000lb truck sideways at 70mph and somehow manage to stick the landing without losing but a few mph.
Just ordered a FS53000. This is the last truck I hope to ever purchase so I'm trying not to chance much of anything. Thanks for the responses gentlemen.
I ordered a package off of Amazon with a Mopar oil filter but both fuel filters were Wix. The rear filter was exactly like OEM but the front fuel filter looked very different from the OEM. The OEM has an oval opening in the bottom with an O ring, approximately 1" x 1/2". The Wix was wide open...
I definitely don't fit into that category. I love my truck lifted and with 35's, I think it would look better with 37's but don't want to stress the drive train too much. It handled the 35's like there wasn't a change and I like the way the truck handles with the Thuren Overland suspension and...
