    I did mine a couple years ago. Was a breeze. Tank was $100. And a 1.5 hr ride each way. Made a day date with the wife and found a good restaurant. I think the issue with filling is a faulty back flow prevention valve which can happen on any size tank. They looked identical in each tank.

    I had the same issue back in early spring and a filter fixed my pressure. I opened the filter and couldnt find anything amiss. But it had to have been broken in some way. It could be the filters they are using are defective or media that clogs quickly.

    I put it in mine back in September and man what a difference! Its quiet as a mouse when at operating temp much quieter valve train when cold with no increase in piston slap which has been present since new.

    Things have changed for sure. I wonder if there is all that much difference between a good synthetic red transmission fluid and the unicorn tear zf fluid. Sure are a lot of folks using valvoline maxlife in these zf trannys with no issues.

    I will try the D-N-R-D trick when/if it flares up again. Its so intermittent and when it does it its only one time out of the gate till it cools all day or sets over night. It hasnt done this since I posted a few days ago and before that it was in October. It just goes a while then surprises me.

    @blackbetty14 I have $250 in my pan and zf fluid. The reason is a friend traded his ram before he used them and let me have them cheap. I dont think thats brutal and the process is what it is. Though a dip stick would be better.

    Yes everything I have studied ZF says 60,000 for severe service. I am at 5 years and was waiting till 60 ish. But I may go ahead and change it to see if it help this issue. It is so intermittent it will take time to see. It may do it three days in a row then not for days.

    Caulk04, What yours does sounds most like what I have experienced. I had an 04 ram Cummins when that TC locked sometimes it felt like the tranny would pop through the floor.
