Dilemma: Night Edition/Off Road Package Laramie Tires

MY truck had 22s and I swapped them out with Rebel 18s

    White night edition…yah or nah?

I have had numerous white vehicles over the years and they are easier to keep clean than the dark colors. In fact it was coin toss between Crystal Granite and White Night Editions when I bought my current truck. The only issue with white is that depending upon configurations, it can look like...

    1st new ram

Great looking truck - All of my previous trucks have had lots of chrome (last was a 2014 Denali). I went with a night edition in 2020 for something different and seeing yours makes me miss the chrome.

    Took the TRX plunge.

Awesome truck - should be automatic TOTM winner!

    Harman Kardon System

Yes but the Level B package includes all items in the Level A package.

    Harman Kardon System

Is it really a $4k option? Don’t recall paying that much. Don’t forget to subtract the cost of the Level 1 package and net the two out. Want to say the incremental cost is around $2k.

    Bakflip bed cover

I have the MX4 for a year plus and really like it. Had a Bak Rollback on my last truck (think it is called the revolver now) and that held up great for 7 years. I prefer the MX4 over the roll up version though.

    Harman Kardon System

Definitely everyone has their own unique perspective. I was going to buy a truck with an Alpine system that I thought sounded good but not great. Then I drove a truck with the HK and had to have it. You definitely need to tweak the settings based on the input (XM, Stream, FM etc..) and/or...

    22" to 18"

The newer Rebels come with 275/70/18 - Goodyear Duratracs which are indeed Load Range E. Most tires in that size are load range E. General makes a few that are not as does Good Year.

    22" to 18"

When i check tire specs, certain sizes only come 1 way. I can only find 285/50/22 in Load Range E for example in name brand tire. Never heard of Mazama tires here in NY (they may be great) but I like to stick with brands I have experience with.

    Tire size for 22”

I was thinking of going 285/50 22 - Not many options in that size. I had decided on Toyo AT3s but they are on National back order. That is a 33” tire. Nitto and Yokohama also make tires in that size. Also note that just going 1 size taller goes from and XL to Load Range E tire which are much...

    22" to 18"

My concern going to the 18s is that they are a 10 Ply (Load Range E) tire which weigh a lot more and will be stiffer. I can always go back to the 22s if i don’t like them. I will try and update the thread to share my experience if interested

Picking her up in the morning!

Nice truck! Looks like you are partial to White! Actually anything sticker or better is good considering the supply issues. I have the MOPAR mats in my truck and WeatherTech in some of my other cars…Like the MOPAR much better. As others have said not as slippery and they don’t curl. The back...

    22" to 18"

Thanks all for the input. Just located a set of takeoffs with tires. Hope to pick them up this week and mount them this weekend. The new set has the sensors so I should be good.

    22" to 18"

Hello all When I bought by 2020 Laramie there were certain options I had to have and a few I didn't want. One of those items I really didn't want are 22" wheels. While I like the look of the stock 22s i just don't like the tires and there are very few options should i want to go a size taller...

Advice for Replacement Tires for 5th Gen Ram 1500

I too have 22” rims and and I had decided on Toyo AT3s. I want to go a a bit taller and I am going from 285/45 to 285/50. That one size difference does change the tire to a load range E. Only a few tire options with the 22” tires beyond the standard 285/45….My biggest challenge is that no one...

    Oil leak Front Right Fender

@GWhitney Sorry to hear of the issues you are having with your truck but at the risk of taking your thread sideways, can i ask what size tires you have on your truck? I believe those are 22” wheels and I like the stance, presume you have a leveling kit up front.

    Leaving Tail Gate Partially Open

I have the 5’ 7” bed and there are times I would like to leave the tail gate partially open to haul long stuff like ladders, lumber etc.. In my old GMC I was able to route the cable around the pins in the back and leave it half way open. This doesn’t work on the Ram. I came across this but it...

    Ram Mud Guards

I have the factory MOPAR/Ram mud guards. I like them as they are not too obtrusive and they serve the purpose. I do have a problem where the front guards don’t drain. There are weep holes but they fill up with road grime and clog. I was thinking of drilling a larger hole on the bottom unless...

I had similar intermittent issues on my 2014 Denali - would be fine after next start stop. Must be inherent to all of the cameras/software.
