    I too went AMP extreme on my 2016 Ram 1500 Longhorn - I wanted two motors on each step - so if one motor went on the fritz there would still be a working motor - I didn't want a single motor and a s l a v e motor - personal choice

    I used a socket as well and hammered it on - then used a breaker bar to get it off - worked very well - looks like your gonna have to get new locking nuts anyway

    Or better yet - your driver side power mirror motor fails won't move in / out - the mirror is covered under warranty however to diagnose it isn't covered - anybody looking at the mirror can see it wasn't working but they have to diagnose it to confirm and this diagnostic charge isn't covered...
