Keep in mind that for emissions, they are trying to run all engines like diesels: Keep them at one RPM setting and change gears for different power/speed needs.
Look at the spread between a 4 speed, 6 speed, and 8 speed. The ratio of 1st to 1st is the same and the ratio between 4th to 6th...
I just replaced the upper cowl that covers the windshield wiper movement assembly, as mine was falling apart on the soft pieces on the edges. Not difficult, but definitely get or make a puller for the windshield wipers, as anything else is just going to mess them up.
Sounds like you need a trailer! I would think that one could also mount it lengthwise in the bed, with a few added attachment tabs and maximize usable bed space.
TSH does have a lot of pump parts, but most of them are not for gasoline. Plus, they would have to order the same pump for about $100 more.

It bolts through the bed. The RDS tank has 3 tabs that you drill your own holes through. They bolt down with 1/4-20 bolts, a spring, and a lock nut. I'm thinking that I want to use a urethane pad instead of the springs.
I will say that you do notice the weight in the back when it is full!
Here's how it looks:
The plumbing from the tank and vent:
The plumbing into the filler tube and vent tube:
Yes, I know I need to add some grommets around the holes for abrasion protection of the gas and vent lines. I am leaning toward cutting a bigger hole for the gas line.
The 3/8"...
80k on a 2018. Issues seem to be the radio randomly rebooting, as I'm still getting used to let it idle for 2 minutes before driving, and the rattle/vibration at 1500rpm.
So I installed my tank. I ended up duplicating what this guy did in this thread.
The gravity feed legality issues seem to apply directly to commercial vehicles. I can see the issue if you overflow the gasoline tank and get it to a hot exhaust and ignite it.
I did put a union at the ball...
Need to go lower than that, as I have to pump it and only hose connection in the gas system is almost right at the tank.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Ended up going with a RDS 71789 Rectagular Transfer 51 gallon + combo tool box.
Bought it on Amazon. Just like all of the reviews, the packaging is crap and the tank will arrive with some damage. The bends on the lid can be massaged to shape, the crack will make me go use my spool gun and...
Just picked up the Lotos LTP5000D used from a guy here in Phoenix. This thing is handy with the pilot arc. It cuts well, but will also make a good mess of things quickly, as it will cut deep and fast!
Took the PW to Death Valley last weekend:
Teakettle Junction
At the Racetrack
Hunter Mountain Road
Badwater. 282 feet below sea level.
Top of Red Pass on the way to Titus Canyon.
Gasoline evaporates, so trying to stop the siphon effect by just blocking the vent will not be effective. Wiring an electric pump to pump gas into the fuel filler tube isn't that big of a deal, as you can use the diesel parts for the plumbing.
From what I can tell, the difference between diesel tanks and gasoline tanks has to do with the expansion space in the tank for gasoline fumes. The gasoline evaporates, builds a little pressure in your gas tank, then pushes the vapor through the evaporator cannister. Since diesel doesn't have...
I ended up with a 8" drop Andersen. Looks good, will tow with it this weekend. Driving around with it, it flops and rattles incessantly. Need to measure and machine up a couple of shims to get it to stop.
Is the general drop people are using a 10"? Towing my 7x16 enclosed trailer, my 99 F-350 needed a couple of inches of rise, the Power Wagon is quite a bit taller. My measured drop is 6.5" for the trailer.
