Update to the infotainment center saga. It has continued to function since they FINALLY replaced it back on Dec 3rd. It does seem to have trouble booting up from time to time but it has yet to lock. The new problem I started experiencing right after they replaced the infotainment center is the...
The 2020 and earlier 12" infotainment centers have a lengthy history of issues and I am dealing with it now in my 2019. I looked at the Etorque and immediately dismissed it do to future maintenance cost and something else to fail.
I went thru customer care for my 2019 and they entered a case. That has been 2months ago and not a word from them. Chrysler customer care is a joke. I have owned a total of 10 dodge/jeep vehicles and am done with them after this experience.
I have a 2019 2500 Cummins that I purchased at the end of March this year. I pulled into a fast food drive thru a couple of nights ago and shut the truck off so they could hear me. When I attempted to start the truck back up I got the message that there was no Key Fob in the vehicle which was...
I called the dealership 3 times yesterday (12/3). Twice I tried calling the service rep that had been handling my case and it went straight to voice mail. One the 3rd call I reached the service manager and he said they had the replacement infotainment computer and then asked if the service rep...
I agree with you, those types of bugs should have already been flushed out. I am dealing with 12" infotainment issues in my 2019 and am about to file a lemon law suit since they can't seem to fix it.
I am thinking about replacing the Y pipe on my wife's 2018 RCSB but when I do I figure I will go ahead and replace the manifolds at the same time as we plan to supercharge it in the future. Thinking about going with long tube headers, new Y pipe and aftermarket high flow cat. I have already...
I have a 2019 with the 6.7 CTD that has shudder from time to time and feels just like you mentioned but it goes away. Service manager at the dealership said he had seen some info recommending swapping to synthetic trans fluid seems to solve the issue and I believe I read that somewhere as well...
2019 2500 CC 4wd 6.7 CTD. 12" Infotainment center locks up constantly, fuel mileage is terrible compared to the other Cummins I have owned and the turbo lag is horrible.
The dealership amazingly called yesterday (11/30) and said they found a new infotainment computer to put in my truck. They are supposed to call me back today when it arrives once they verify it is the correct one to get it installed. Again, as I have mentioned before I am doubtful this will...
Well I called the dealership this past Saturday (11/28) to see what the status was for the replacement infotainment center since they had yet to update me. After being put on hold twice and telling them that if the service manager didn't call me back I would show up there within the hour I got a...
It is a design flaw that from the research I have done looks to be to little memory. The touch screen itself still works but no audio functions work including and cell phone/hands free functions.
should be about the same time frame to put it back. The delete kit I purchased for the 2015 only required that the CAT and DPF parts of the exhaust be removed but it allowed for the full removal of the EGR system if you desired to do so.
There are enough of them having issues that class action lawsuits have been filed against FCA about them. It sounds like it is just a matter of time before the issues start showing up. Some people see them almost immediately others may not see them for a year or so. Mine starting acting up...
Not sure about the first issue but I agree with your other post about replacing the IAC and throttle position sensors.
As for the second issue I added a rear sway bar to my wife's 2018 regular cab short bed and it made a big difference in the handling. I am considering replacing the rear...
I had a 2015 mega cab dually 4wd 68RFE that I really loved, my wife got out of the horse business and I couldn't justify keeping it. I did the full delete myself and it only took about 8-10 hours. Made a world of difference in performance and fuel mileage. I have a 2019 2500 crew cab 4wd now and...
It has been 13 days since I was told by the dealership that Chrysler gave them permission to replace the infotainment center. Still haven't heard anything back from them.
I would strongly recommend staying away from the 12" infotainment center unless you are looking at a 2021 model. All the previous 12" infotainment centers are junk.
This is not new software or hardware. It has been out since before 2017, they should have had these issued resolved if there were any chance they could be fixed.
