Help With Small Engine Leak - Valve Cover Gasket?

Thank you for the replies all! I finally got around to this job on the weekend. All of the air intake bolts were super loose. It took a couple of full rotations to get them to 12 nm. I followed the bolt pattern and torqued them to 8 nm at first, then 10 nm and finally 11.8 nm. I was getting a...

Help With Small Engine Leak - Valve Cover Gasket?

Nope, never felt a need to open any filters. What should I be looking for as I'll be changing out the oil in the next two months or so?

Help With Small Engine Leak - Valve Cover Gasket?

Thanks for this! Where did you find that specific torque spec as I couldn't seem to find it in the service manual which I have. It probably could do with a bit of an engine bay detail. The body work and interior is absolutely perfect though .

Help With Small Engine Leak - Valve Cover Gasket?

Thanks for the reply and pointing me in the right direction to that thread. Do you, or anyone else happen to know the correct torque for the valve cover bolts? I'll torque the intake cover bolts to 9 ft-lbs (12 nm) as recommended and per the sequence diagram. However, I can't find the correct...

Help With Small Engine Leak - Valve Cover Gasket?

I have spotted a small engine leak at the top of the passenger side of my 2015 5.7l Ram 1500 with only 40,000 miles. I haven't noticed any performance degradation but would like to solve this before it gets any worse. Could I have some assistance with trying to diagnose where this leak may be...

    Quality Backup Tailgate Light Bar

Any recommendations for a rear tailgate light bar that is of high quality and will last? OPT7 and Putco seem to get the most recommendations, but there are also lots of reviews that state they only last a year or two before LED's start failing. I'm primarily in need of a better reverse backup light.

Driveshaft UJ To Rear Diff Yoke Alignment

Thank you for all of the advice! For my own peace of mind I put the driveshaft back into the same spline it came out of and simply rotated the wheels a tad to realign the yoke. One final question as I can't find a spec anywhere - what torque should the four 15mm bolts be tightened to holding...

Driveshaft UJ To Rear Diff Yoke Alignment

I replaced the rear diff pinion seal on my Ram 1500 this afternoon. Prior to disassembly I marked everything up incl. the pinion nut itself so it all goes back exactly the same. However, whilst cleaning I managed to remove most of the marking I drew between the differential housing and yoke...

Rear Differential Yoke Bolt Torque Specs When Replacing Pinion Seal

Thanks for the reply! From what I have researched, the pinion nut should not be torqued as this will not achieve the correct preload. Hence the best option is to mark before removal and count the number of turns? I'm used to torqueing everything so not doing so is in fact new to me. I have...

Rear Differential Yoke Bolt Torque Specs When Replacing Pinion Seal

Any chance someone could offer some advice please :)?

Rear Differential Yoke Bolt Torque Specs When Replacing Pinion Seal

I will be replacing the rear differential pinion seal (Mopar #68056356AA) on my 2015 RAM 1500. I know to mark the flange nut before removal and count the number of turns so that it's put back with the correct preload on the bearings. However, could anyone advise where I can find the torque...

    OEM Wheel Center Caps

For anyone looking for the same in the future, part numbers are as follows: 1LB72RXFAB 1LB72RXFAA 1LB72TRMAB 1LB72SZ0AB

    OEM Wheel Center Caps

I'm having my 2015 Ram 1500 Sport OEM 20" wheels powder-coated in black (yeah, I know, done to death! :D), well, "santorini black" to be precise. I don't like the look of having the existing chrome center caps within a black wheel. Does anyone know the part number for the gloss black center caps...

OEM Sport Alloy Wheels - Refurb Or Change?

Thanks for all of the replies. I visited a wheel refurb shop today which I have used over the years and gets excellent reviews. Turns out that the OEM wheels are quite involved, and therefore expensive, to refurb to the same standard on this side of the pond as the process requires a ceramic /...

OEM Sport Alloy Wheels - Refurb Or Change?

The finish on my OEM 4th gen Ram Sport alloys is blistering. Presumably this is just a clear coat/lacquer? I'm not sure whether to have these refurbished back to OEM new condition, powdercoat in a different color, or whether it makes more sense to sell these and buy new wheels? What do you guys...

High Output Fog Light With Additional Side Light

Well, that's a brilliant find, thank you! I will try to find out why no one is doing this, maybe there is an additional regulation I am unaware of.

High Output Fog Light With Additional Side Light

This would be great if true! But I suspect it's not an option otherwise all of the RAM's over here would be doing this?

High Output Fog Light With Additional Side Light

I need parking lights (which we also call side lights over here). Hence having LED's fitted by the original owner within the fog lights which meet the regulations.

High Output Fog Light With Additional Side Light

RAM's are grey imports, the FCA won't have anything UK specific.

High Output Fog Light With Additional Side Light

That's exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for. I'm not sure why @turkeybird56 thinks these would be yellow? Is there something I'm overlooking? How would I go about wiring up the DRL as a side marker light? There's only one wire from the DRL portion of the light, would I simply ignore the...

High Output Fog Light With Additional Side Light

Pretty much, yes. Something which is a little neater than what has already been installed is ideal.

High Output Fog Light With Additional Side Light

That's a good idea, I like it. However, are there any cube/pod lights available in a low light output (for my sidelight requirements) and high output (for fog purposes) from the same manufacturer?

High Output Fog Light With Additional Side Light

It's a bit of a bodge, in my opinion. But many of the imports are wired up this way. I'd much rather something smarter which looks more OEM and is obviously easier to replace the lamps when needed.

High Output Fog Light With Additional Side Light

My 2015 4th gen RAM 1500 has two LED's siliconed into each front fog light for the purposes of acting as white sidelights (this is a UK road requirement). The lamps have failed and need replacing. As opposed to siliconing in replacement lamps and having to do the same again once they fail, does...
