Got an intermittent Check Engine light for vacuum leak in emissions system. Translate to gas cap. Replaced the cap, reset, and no light....for a few miles. Got 150 miles once before it kicked on. Reset, light out....Repeat.
Checked as much of the vacuum lines around the fuel tank and forward...
Get an electronic air horn. Whelen and Carson make a module. Speaker in the grill. I have an industrial clipper switch on the floor to activate it. Gets their attention.

Just an idea, put a multimeter on the negative terminal of the battery and then on a chassis or engine ground point. Yea, sounds funny, but if it shows any voltage you have a bad ground somewheres. Ask how I know....
