Not exactly sure when it happened, but noticed it yesterday. I'm not even sure what happened because there's 2 dents inward, and the center is creased outward and cracked the paint.
I remember carrier plates all the way back to the early 4th gen f bodies. (Like 93 or 94) They were terrible back then, you'd think manufactures would've abandoned the idea back then. But it's all about how they can get them down the assembly line the fastest. If it survives the warranty that's...
There's a plethora of variations of oil filter relocation setups available. Some are a direct bolt in, some are "universal" and require some knowledge to make your own (cut to fit) hoses.
I went to direct bolt it route with a PacBrake relocation kit. Makes oil changes completely mess free. I...
I'm also in farm country. I've got 12 acres myself surrounded by hundreds of fields. I had my Limited ceramic coated shortly after I bought it to save myself the headache of washing it almost daily. Now I wash it probably once a month and call it good enough.
Here in Ohio gravel roads are almost non-existent. The only time my truck sees "dust" is when the kids and I go tear up my field. I had to replace my battery at some point recently and the engine bay still looks the same as that year old picture. LOL
In my case the glass itself shakes in the housing. I do not have the tow mirror brackets on mine. The whole mirror assembly is tight and doesn't shake. Just the larger (top) mirror will slightly shake. But nothing that I've been worried about.
In my experience with the sport hoods, it's not likely to find a used one in good shape for a fair price. Even less likely to find one the same color. If you're set on a sport hood, probably best (in the long run) to order a new one and have it painted. If you go with an Amerihood or other brand...
Finally got warm enough to turn on the ventilated seats. Kids and I cruised around with all the windows open. Now I get to track down my intermittent CEL (P1621). Throws the code at random it seems. Will light the CEL for a week straight, then one day, its gone for a couple days, or maybe a...
Personally, I went the V6 E-fan route as soon as I got my truck mostly for this reason. It had a fairly new water pump (warranty replacement from Ram) and I figured less stress on the pump by not having the belt driven fan on it anymore.
This one's 25x40 with 14' ceilings. I don't remember my garage measurements at the moment, but I know it's bigger than the barn, but low ceilings as it has a 2nd floor. My truck barely fits in the garage so until I made room in the barn it sat outside most of the time. Until I got it to that...
Finally getting my barn organized enough to fit the Ram in. Sadly when I moved it was a scheduling nightmare so I just threw stuff in the barn and went back for another load. It's not much to look at right now, but it's slowly coming back to life. Eventually it'll have more lights, insulation...
That's mostly why I haven't gone to a PPE pan yet. I'm fairly certain it won't clear the JBA Y-pipe. My trans temps have been great since deleting the "heater" hoses so I'm not jumping at the small benefit for the headache of changing exhaust parts (again).
Did an overdue tire rotation and replaced wiper blades after one froze to the windshield the other day at work. Also cut a small piece of Masonite for a radiator block for the winter. I meant to order a grill blanket before winter but got sidetracked and forgot. So a simple scrap panel will do...
Man I was really looking to getting these fenders when I went to 37's. But the radius from the top of the arch to the bumper is not what I'd hoped for. Wonder if it'd be practical to trim the radius to the red line I sloppily tossed on your pic with MS Paint.
At just shy of 5 years old the battery in my truck gave up the fight before even showing any signs of future failure. Moved my truck christmas day and it started perfectly fine. Got in it this morning, stone dead. Charged it for almost 45 minutes, hit the magic button, still dead. So I'm going...
The passenger side on my JBA LTs dang near "fell in". I fed them from underneath the truck. The driver side on mine had similar fitment troubles. I modified my steering shaft due to an interference with the front cylinder primary tube. The SW headers don't have the same issue from my understanding.
Had CEL come on again for O2 sensor losing 5v reference. Going to have to dive into it one of these days Last time it happened the extension harness shifted and was sitting on the exhaust. Not enough to melt the wires, but melted the loom. Might be time for another set of extensions.
My tires stick out too. Never been stopped or questioned about them. Also, as you can see, I too have (near) perfect paint that will never have flares on.
I'm at 30k-35k miles on them. They're wearing very well. I don't rotate them as much as I should and they're still ok. The wet traction is sub-par as they've aged. But mud/snow/dry traction is great. Road noise hasn't gotten any louder.
If I remember later today I'll break out my gauge and...
Without a bumper swap this will NOT fit the 2009-2912 models. The pre 2013 grills came down to a point in the lower corners. The 2013+ (like yours) have a radius in the lower corner. However, all the 2013-2018 (and 2019+ Classic) grills are interchangeable...
