I do not remember at the moment, are the plugs in the center console the only plugs that initiate CarPlay?
2019 Ram 1500 Classic Big Horn 4wd. It has the seat in the middle instead of the center console that goes all the way through.
Thank you.
So, it appears that it is/was the wheel well liner bumping against the upper strut mount… I made this quick/temporary fix and the noise went away. Any ideas on a permanent fix?
Sorry for the blurry picture… It is a Dixie cup…
So, I fixed the rattle in the suspension, but there is a rattle that sounds like it is coming from the front driver side corner either under the dash or maybe in the door (I read this while searching the internet). I took enough of the dash apart to get up in there and secured everything that...
Well, the rattle is back, but I believe I have located the culprit. The brake pad retainer clips are bent bad enough that they do not touch the caliper. I can wiggle the pad around enough to make the noise I am hearing. I am replacing the pads either tonight or in the morning. I will keep this...
So, I broke it down to taking the strut off. Everything looked good. I put everything back, but waited until the tire was back on the ground to tight the upper strut mount bolts. I tightened them as tight as I could get them with a ratcheting wrench. I then took an extended socket wrench and was...
I have recently started having a metal clanking noise when going over bumps in my front driver side suspension. I check the sway bar end link and that is not it. Before I go taking everything apart, could it be something at the top of the strut, like maybe a bolt needs to be tightened?
I had a squeak in the front driver’s side suspension and could not locate it until the other day… The left bolt where the UCA is mounted was not tight enough, and it seems the bushing was turning the bolt, causing the squeak…
Just thought I would pass this along to give others something to...
I will be replacing both CV axles on my 2019 1500 Classic Big Horn 4wd… Both the driver and passenger side CV axles are the same/same process, correct? Also, do I have/need to replace the stub shafts, or can/should I be able to use the existing ones?
Thank you.
Yeah, I just came across this video. It has done it once before last week, but fine since then… Looks like I am going to pick up some dialectic grease…
If I am already leveled at 2” in the front, is there anything that would need to be replaced/altered (other than UCAs and shocks in the rear) by going from two inches to four inches?
I pulled on it for a while until it slid off... I cleaned the fan and sprayed PB Blaster into the motor and let it sit upside down and drain out. After letting everything sit in the sun for an hour, I reassembled everything and the fan noise is gone.
On the plus side, my truck now smells like...
I already have RC 2" leveling struts with UCAs for 0"-3" level in the front and RC rear shocks for 0" - 3" lift in the back. I just want to add another inch without replacing the struts.
Yeah, I did not think about the two bolts in the front...
I was also looking at somehow mounting a hitch receiver to the piece of frame between the lower control arms then mounting a hitch mounted winch plate to that. That should put a fairlead pretty close to the bumper.
I feel like I am...
