    Plastic bag cost me $650

Had that happen to me several years ago. Luckily what I was driving was not mine--it was my employer's vehicle. From then on, if I see a plastic bag go under the vehicle I watch in the rearview to see if it comes out. If it doesn't, I check that pinion area the next time I stop.

    Driving 2500 with 6 lugs

Any tire shop worthy of being called one will/would correct that error without having to raise a stink. But for the ones who try to slip it by as being a problem for the customer to correct--refuse to move the vehicle until they correct their screw-up. Usually if you threaten to lawyer-up...

    CD/usb data transfer issues

Well, thanks everyone for the input. We get through the holidays I'm going to get back after it and see if I can get this crazy thing to work. Got an 11 year old granddaughter--might get her involved in working this out. Thanks and Merry Christmas, all.

    Truck won't start...

Well, as Paul Harvey used to say, this is the rest of the story: On the no-start issue I was having, I finally got the truck to start after bumping the start button about 15 times; drove it directly to a diesel shop that I use for service (they have some of the most competent techs around)...

    CD/usb data transfer issues

New here, so maybe this has been hashed/rehashed before. 2013 2500 with a dead cd player (the one in the console). Decided to put my collection of cd's on to a 16gb thumb drive. I loaded about six albums on the drive, and then I decided to see how they looked and played in the truck. Well...

    Truck won't start...

Had a similar situation recently. 2013 2500 Cummings would not start--hit the start button and only got clicks and dimming of the panel lights. Tried the push the button with the key fob trick--no dice. New batteries in the key fobs--still the same story. Both batteries under the hood are...

Rear ended twice in two days

That is exactly the reason I keep my WD hitch on the truck 24/7/365. For one thing, it is a deterrent for those who are watching what they are doing when driving, and for another, for the ones driving with their heads up their *****, it will maybe be a learning experience if they decide to try...

removing center console 2013 2500 diesel laramie

Thanks---the pics are very helpful. The previous owner had installed a console vault in the bottom of the console, and the screws holding it don't want to back out. I was afraid there were screws hidden by the vault that would prevent me from getting the console out. From what I see in the...

How to improve fuel economy on Cummins 24 valve

Got an '02 2500 Laramie, 5.9 with the 6-speed manual, 3:55 rear gears. It was usually good for around 18-19 mpg if I kept it around 60-65 highway. We pull a 30' bumper pull, probably gross out 10k. Local diesel shop encouraged me to put marine injectors in--told me I would pick up mpg and...

    Fuel Additives

I use ,depending on how much fuel I pump in, anywhere from a pint to a quart of outboard motor oil. I have an '02 Cummins with the 35 gallon tank. The truck has just north of 210,000 on the clock. Reason for the outboard oil is to up the lubricity of this crappy low-sulphur diesel we now...

    heater issues

Hate to sound totally ignorant, but: are the door actuators vacuum operated or electric? Being that the truck is a diesel and I am hard of hearing, I'm hoping that I can just turn the key to "On" and check the door actuation that way. If it is vacuum operated, looks like I'll have to get one...

    heater issues

Had not considered the blend door issue. I will have to give that a look-see. Guessing that to correct the blend door problem would entail tearing out the whole dash to get to the actuators?

    heater issues

That confirms my first inclination, which was to do a flush of the cooling system. Got a good diesel shop close to me, gonna see if they have any way of doing a pulse flush.

    heater issues

New to the forum; hoping someone has traveled this road and knows a solution. Problem is this: 2013 Ram Laramie 2500, dual temp controls. Engine heat up to normal, heater controls slid all the way up to High, and very minimal amount of heat in the cabin. Where do I start looking for the...
