I tow a 28 foot fifth wheel with a 2016 Ram 1500. Trailer has a 1450# pin weight that I verified and my truck has a 1820 payload rating. I went with LT tires and added air bags in the coil springs and headed out to Alaska and didn't have any problems. I have been all over the western states...
If that's an aftermarket warranty and not a factory warranty good luck with getting any work done to cure a driveability issue. Aftermarket warranty only covers a total failure and even then they can claim abuse by the owner.
As it is you may be having issues with the valve body or a low...
I'm towing a Keystone 5th wheel with my 2016 Ram 1500. Payload is 1820, pin weight is 1450. I added 1000# air bags that go inside the coil springs. Pulls and rides great.
Been to Alaska and back and all over the western states.
I'm just an old fart who has been there, done that, seen that and had to fix those kind of fuckups. Ain't no faster way to Junk a good truck than by some fly by night know nothing SOB installing a cheap lift kit.
Meet Frankie aka Frankenstein as my daughter in law calls him. I rescued this off of the reservation where it had been hammered pretty hard. It was sitting derelict in a yard bed full of junk and four flat tires. The Indian family I know wanted to know how much to get it running again and I...
I headed out for Alaska in May of 2016 with my new Ram 1500 5.7 8 speed 3.92 gears and a 5th wheel trailer. The Lyometer came out to 10.5 average for the entire round trip. I had budgeted $5K for fuel, oil and what nots for the truck and came in right on the money.
27 footer 8200# and 1400# pin weight. Pin weight is actual scaled weight. There's a Cotton Gin just down the road where I work part time and I can scale out before every trip. As it is I'm right at the limit and I'm running LT tires and air bags.
Hell I plum forgot about that 1968 Chevy hippy van I had for a while. Had the 250 six and a powerglide, Kinf od a dawg but it was all I could afford after the Big D.
When I was in the Army stationed in Germany in 1969 my daily driver was a Ford Econoline straight six and 3 on the tree. I was kind of the driver for my unit driving personel and delivering supplies to three different clinics.
Also owned a 74 VW bus that my wife and I bought brand new. And I...
I've got a 2016 1500 Tradesman quad cab with the max tow package. About the only feature I would add is the bigger screen with the navigation. Other than that it pulled a 5th wheel to Alaska an all over the western states.
My 96' 1500 4x4 came off of an Arizona Indian reservation. It's been hammered but I got it at low mileage so the drive train is still fair. Other than that the body has a hit on almost every panel. It's my back country beater named Frankie or Frankenstien.
My 2016 1500 is my baby. It's that deep...
Just a good midgrade pad from Oriellys for me. Most all of my driving is open country with very little city driving. I do pull a 5th wheel through the mountains of Arizona a lot but rely on transmission and engine braking a lot.
