Atoto Gen2 S8 Ultra Plus Meet 2015 Ram

With some buyer's remore ( :D ) I went ahead and ordered this beast from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZJPG2K6?ref=myi_title_dp Things I haven't figured out yet.... Am I going to have to rewire stereo harness to ignition switch accessory power (e.g. cigarette lighter)? I see some...

Simple Questions (?) 2015 Ram 1500 BigHorn Wheels & Tires

I have whatever factory wheels came with 20s on 2015 Ram BigHorn...20x8. I want to go aftermarket wheels and 285/70/17 ko2s...and am confused about what wheel width to order.

Simple Questions (?) 2015 Ram 1500 BigHorn Wheels & Tires

Thanks for your reply. I had read where factory 17s were 7" wide, but then for example on tirerack when I look at wheels it describes 17x8.5 as OEM size! Then I see various websites proclaiming that 285/70/17 must have 8 or 9 or 10 inch widths. At which point my head explodes.

Simple Questions (?) 2015 Ram 1500 BigHorn Wheels & Tires

I'm confused about OEM wheel rim widths, specifically - are 17s only 7 inches wide? - are 20s 8, 8.5 or 9 inches wide? (I've seen all 3 on various websites) So my recently purchased Ram has stock 20s (noname 275/60/20 tires and 20x8(?) wheels)....and I'm considering dropping down to 17" wheels...

    Eibach Pro Lift Struts

Is it me or are the manufacturers of uniball UCAs just printing money? The price delta boggles the mind for a trivial mechanical construction difference.

    Eibach Pro Lift Struts

The Eibach website lists only two engine options for the 2015 Ram Bighorn: V6 Diesel or V8. What's a poor V6 Flex owner to do?

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

Thanks very much. Very informative post, and it confirmed some thoughts I had about the trouble with relying on anecdotal information from the innerwebs...people love to share opinions.

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

Thanks. Yes, the 4 hour guesstimate I included was based on what I think I would likely be charged by a shop versus how long it would actually take them.

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

Sorry if I'm being slow, but are you saying I should be able to get pre-assembled Bilsteins for less than pre-assembled Ranchos or Rough Country's? I'm not seeing that...

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

Thanks for that. Having watched enough videos now I can say I'm off the spacer train. I think I'll manage my budget restrictions by limiting my first effort to front shocks and coils.

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

I appreciate your sharing and read it with interest. I'm glad you landed on the setup you wanted, and I think trading a little stiffness and mpg loss on well-maintained asphalt for better handling over big bumps and backroads is worth it. I'm still left with a couple fundamental issues...

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

6112 pair on shock surplus is $870. Add 4 hours for labor and you're at $1300. The question about why alternatives are junk given that the central issue is geometry impact remains unanswered.

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

I'm confused by your numbers. Two 5100 HSAs $260 Two Front Coils $300 Labor 6 hours $600 Total $1160 Two Rough Country (or alt supplier) Front Coilover Struts $300 Labor 4 hours $400 Total $700 OverStrut Spacers $100 Labor 3 hours $300 Total $400 With respect to paying more later, that's...

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

Philosophical question... If its ok to add Bilstein adjustables to the front without any other adjustments provided you keep the lift to 1.4 or 2.1" and under....because the lift is so small that you are not introducing geometry concerns....doesn't that also mean that that its ok to install any...

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

Hi Nick. Is it something like Eibach Pro Truck Lift Stage 3? I failed when trying to google a kit that has rear coils....

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

What a great post; thanks so much. Since this is a new truck for me, but has 100,000 miles, I thought in terms of replacing aged equipment with "modest upgrades" which translates to getting rid of most of the rake, but also replacing shocks all around and a minor improvement in load bearing...

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

Thanks. I only want a 2" lift and levelling via shocks and coils and modest improvement to UCLs...I will avoid spacers or body lifts...and I'd like to budget between $1500 and $2000 for parts and labor, so I'm trying to understand if there are responsible ways to live within that budget...and...

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

Thanks. I should have explained better. The specific Mopar kit I stumbled on was this: https://www.allmoparparts.com/sku/p5155797.html Before I found this I had been thinking about ordering front and rear Bilsteins, TufTruck coils for the rear, and Mevotech UCLs for the front. When I saw...

Round 2 of My Lift Newb Questions - TIA

Two weeks ago, bought a 2015 Ram BigHorn 4x4 CrewCab 3.6L Flex, and have been reading forums, etc. Thought I had a decent grasp of geometry concerns, "complete lift packages" vs strut/shock/coil lifts vs spacers vs body lifts etc....and had settled in on ~2 inch lift all around via Bilsteins...

"Tesla Style" 10.4 Android Radio Information

Newb question after skimming the first few and last few pages of the thread....post #1 describes tesla style as being tied to Android v4.4 yet the recent threads are referening PX6 and other "current vintage" android topics....is post 1 out of date?

    Audio Upgrade & Modification Basics!

So I've been doing lots of comparisons of specs between tranditional and android-based HUs. one common area of "deficiency" in the android-based units is pre-amp volts. traditional aftermarket offerings are 4-5 V whereas a lot of these android-based HUs I see on amazon and elsewhere are...

    Audio Upgrade & Modification Basics!

This forum is like other Ram and FCA forums in that there is a lot more information about upgrade options with "newer" OEM equipment than with traditional aftermarket equipment or "android-based" equipment. That's not a criticism its just an observation from a new late model Ram owner trying to...

    INFO - 2013-2018 8.4A /AN FW Notes (RA3/VP3-NA & RA4/VP4-NA & UAx)

Not sure that it means anything to this thread or not (re: Post #5 / 2015), but my OEM part number is68238621AL (not ...38619...). I have a 2015 BigHorn CrewCab 4x4 3.6L Flex. I bought it used with software version 17.13.07 and updated that to 18.45.01 without incident. Edit: Post #4 / 2015
