Anti-slip differential

Well that’s disappointing
As I posted on another message in this thread, my Dad has a 17 RAM 5.7 HEMI (quad cab, 4x4) and while not sure what he gets if he sits down and calculates real world data (gas slips and actual mileage), the truck system on his shows him getting 18+ mileage, a lot, with no e-torque, no messing...- Wulf

My Dad has a 2017 RAM (DS like my 21, same body config/engine size as well), and afaik, he doesn't mess around with the shift limiter, but he does have the MDS, and he gets often 18-19 MPG showing on the truck display system (compared to my 13-14, but I like the Happy Pedal a bit too much). True. I have had other issues with this truck, but I have had good luck, generally speaking, in the past with GM. Part of the reason I ended up going with RAM this time around, tbh.- Wulf

2023 5.7L hemi, E torque mandatory?
Given that it is listed among the other interior items, I (guessing, not sure) doubt it is for the wheels. Since it has 40/20/40 seats (like my Warlock), it is possibly a USB hub for powering phone chargers/etc. Because of the seats, it wouldn't have a center console between them, it is likely...- Wulf

Sometimes true, sometimes not so much. The issues with the GM motors (and other similar systems) could be explained away as "misinformation" and "fear of the unknown", until stuff actually starts breaking, which they did, documented fact, or getting a good amount of time operating. They...- Wulf

While not specifically a RAM issue, I will add the litany of vehicles with GM (their version of) MDS systems. Going into limp mode for no reason, and shutting down the engine (and vehicle speed) to bare minimums almost instantly for one. If you can't see why this is a problem, imagine going...- Wulf

Yea, that hose test is usually showing problems just in the engine bay, not the interior side, as you said. -

Sounds like could be air in the lines leading to the heater core, or the core could have gotten clogged up, like the other suggestions before me.- Wulf

@dgarber12771 I see you have the sport hood on your Warlock. I am curious, I have heard rumors that the hood scoops on it are not functional on the Warlocks. Is that the hood yours came with, and if so, is the rumor they don't work accurate? -

I would have thought, at first, that it was for the tow hooks, which as you can see are further down (mine doesn't have the hooks or the fog lights). Maybe they did it for aesthetics, because on mine, without the tow hooks installed, it looks similar layout. -

Is it really a "delete" if the damn dealer never ordered them in the first place? Lazy dealers! I wish mine had at least the WARLOCK on the bed sides. The "racing" stripe on the hood I could go either way with at the moment, but I am going to fix those issues at some point.- Wulf

You can follow the recommended intervals according to the user manual(s), but if you don't have faith in them, change them now. For the cost of a few bucks, peace of mind wouldn't hurt. Spark plugs for 5.7 Hemi
Most of the time, that is the best dynamometer to use. I looked into the factory stats/specs on my new Warlock, and it said 0-60 (MPH) times were about 6.5 seconds. I independently confirmed this, sitting at a stop light, waited until it turned green, then stomped on the gas. Had to try it...- Wulf

Tell me what you don't like about the Ram....
I like most things about my RAM, not a fan of FCA's decision to take a mostly blacked out truck (bumpers, wheels, etc.) and have silver lug nuts and RAM across the nose.
