    Windshield Washer Fluid Low

Yup, after almost 2 years of using nothing but Rain-X, the same happened to my truck. It took a couple of gallons/refills from empty of "regular" washer fluid, but it did finally clear off the sensor, at least enough so that it's no longer giving false readings.

    '09 5.7 with 107,000 miles - how slow should I go?

If you don't mind me asking, what was wrong with the sway bars and control arms, and at what mileage? I had a transmission solenoid go out the other week which was unpleasant, but covered under the powertrain warranty. I have a 2013 with ~53k on it, purchased new. The transmission issue...

    Low Windshield fluid light on

Wow, I was wondering why this started happening...and it was pretty solidly tied to the outside temp. Above 30 and it worked fine, below 30 and the low fluid warning came on. Guess I need to find another washing fluid...that's a shame, I really liked RainX.

    Express Options

I specifically searched for and bought a 13' Express in white, 3.92, with the trailer tow package (comes with the hitch and trailer brake control). Though mine has the 6 speed...I don't know if they offer the 3.92 anymore with the 8 speed, if that's made it's way to the newer trucks yet.

    Oil Catch Can Results

I managed to guess the proper bolt when at HD this morning, but BT mailed me back after I mailed them a question about the bolt, the proper size bolt for those of you who've lost it (or will lose it :D) is "M8x30 Hex bolt", metric. Though M8x20 or 25 will also work, and not take nearly as long...

    Oil Catch Can Results

Question: Is the 13mm bolt that comes with the BT catch can a standard sized bolt that I could pick up from say a Home Depot/Lowes/Menards type place? I ask because as I was trying to install mine last night, the bolt wouldn't thread and then slipped away into whatever alternate dimension...

    Cabin Air Filter Mod

One thing to keep in mind - don't forget the filter there! I swapped mine out at around 7k miles and it was filthy! It'd probably have made it to 10k miles without too much of a restriction, but certainly not much more than that. Admittedly I'm partially in farm country so it can get a little...

    2013 5.7 4x4 6speed mpg report

I concur, on my drive across the country I found if I stayed at 70 or even slightly under my mileage would be drastically better than at 73 or 74. I mean watching the gauge read a steady 23 to the gauge dipping down below 19 in less than half a tank, drastic...and this was after a full day of...

    2013 5.7 4x4 6speed mpg report

What gears? Mine has the 3.92s and a drive between MN and NYC and back got me > ~22mpg in both directions (I reset the gauge before leaving each place). Mine was bone stock at the time, but I did have a tonneau cover on. I just replaced the factory air filter with an AEM filter that fits the...

    stock air box versus CAI

I replaced the filter with an AEM high-flow filter (AEM 28-20247 DryFlow Air Filter)...no change in noise, no real change in butt dyno (though I can't even remember the last time I did a full-power takeoff)...but, even if I turn off MDS, I get a pretty steady 19mpg. Even if it doesn't "work"...

    stock air box versus CAI

I'm aiming for something that sounds a little nicer + mpg...I get around 19 every day, I squeezed out 22+ on my last drive from MN to NY, so I know it's possible to get some good mileage out of these things (mine is 4wd, 3.92 gears, QC). Hopefully the filter helps with that :) I'll update as...

    stock air box versus CAI

This is a great and very informative thread, thanks :) I wound up just ordering a less restrictive filter for my factory box, I'll have to see if I can optimize what I have before spending real money on opening it up...

2012 In Cabin Air Filter Modification

Just did this mod to my 2013 Express...man that cover is a lot thicker than you'd think! I figured a utility knife would slice right through, but no...I had to push the tip in and basically poke holes all the way through until I could connect the dots, so to speak. But, I did get the slot cut...
