Ram 2500 longbow crew cab with 6.4. Stock tire size but in Duratracs. It gets its worse gas mileage boondocking in 4 lo.

    Think I might crash

I have enjoyed spirited driving my whole life and still do. I drove rally, raced bikes off road, ice raced, raced on paved road courses, dirt track raced, rode trials bikes and a bunch of other stuff. I also drove like a hooligan on public roads, still do some days. Just today, I took a long...

    Suspected vacuum leak

I hate when I respond to necro threads. New guys trying to pump their post count.

    Think I might crash

Well then, take it to an expert and have it fixed right. By your own statements you dont have the skill and experience to evaluate it yourself. If you are going to drive it that hard it takes more repairs. No reason not to drive hard, I still do but only as long as the vehicle is in tip top...

    Help with geometry fail…

Jacking a 1500 up 9 inches, adding hugely over size tires, stiifer shocks and expecting it to drive great on the street, and particularly at freeway speeds seems kind of naive. You either get the looks you want or street performance. The fact you have got back to anywhere close to decent...

    Suspected vacuum leak

May have zero to do with being a vacum leak. Running lean could be injectors, 02 sensors, timing, ecu or a raft of other things Is it throwing any codes ? If not, put it on a proper scanner.

    MPG effect of Leveling Kit

I say it again. Read the above. Most things guys do to these pickups reduces the base gas milage. The degree to which it happens depends on the total number of modifications amd what they are. Nothing i have ever seen posted for lift, wheels, extra accessories ever increased the mileage.

Blind Spot and Lane Departure feature?

You can get blindspot and Lane departure in the 2021 2500 and 3500, and they are basically a Gen 4. Do not know about 1500s though.

    greasin that hitch

So, I have the same equalizer receiver hitch on one 2500 for 28 years. Unless you need to change hitches I see no issue with it being rusted in place. Mine also has a grade 8 bolt and Nylon lock nut on it. After a couple of years, NO ONE is ever going to steal that hitch off of there, even if...

    Fog lights not turning on

There has to be a switch somewhere for the fog lights. Your headlight switch is not the typical OEM configuration for Fog lights if it doesn't have the center push for on for the fogs, so whoever put them in had to put in a switch to turn them on. If you look I am sure you will find it.

    No Fire

Do what jw and Ramd say. Flooded with gas or throttle body cleaner is the same thing. Once it clears it will start fine. Only thing to add, do not crank for longer than 20 seconds. Stop cranking but keep gas pedal fully dpressed. Let it cool for a minute, crank another 20 seconds. Do this three...

Not the right one. One lead won't get the job done. Pay the extra, get the Kaodtech.

    MPG effect of Leveling Kit

Levelling and removing the air dam, even with stock tires will reduce your gas mileage. More prevelant at higher speeds than lower. Ram did nose down and dam intentionally to improve gas mileage. It works but if you dont like the look, then no problem.

    New grill 1 vs 2

I would go back to chrome and change to a chrome bumper too. Never liked painted bumpers. Even with 3m they look like hell in short order.

    greasin that hitch

Well, if it is rust welded in place nothing got weaker. If anything you have a stronger setup than just being held by the pin.

    greasin that hitch

An Aluminum Insert solves all those rusted in place issues. I leave a metal draw bar with a clevis in mine full time for extraction. Only put the hitch in place if pulling a trailer.

    Transfer case

As you have already seen, the causes of slack are many and varied and they haven't all been covered either. If you crawl under the truck and do some very basic diagnostic work, right down the steps and the results, it will be a whole ton easier for us to give you quality advice. Let us know...

    Possessed radio?

Take it back to the shop that installed it. It is either wired incorrect or the radio itself is defective. There is nothing else that would cause the issues you are having.

Awful gas mileage: 2024 RAM Rebel GT

In you case the Duratracs were an issue. I have run them for years and never seen the mileage drop you have experienced. They are a poor tire for anyone that spends most of their time on pavement or good gravel, but for those of us that play in the mud, deep snow and want one tire for year round...

    OEM power inverter

You would need to completely rewire as stock wiring isn't heavy enough to carry more amps. A whole lot easier to keep the oem and install an bigger after market.

    Silly question, I know.

All you have to do is watch your RPM at 65 mph when you push it on and off, RPM go up when it is off. My 96 V10 works the same way. The reason the light is on is a visual warning that you have OD set to off as you will get worse gas mileage running the higher Revs. Also, why have the light lit...
