Does anyone have any pictures of this drain plug on the radiator? I will be doing a coolant flush as well as replacing all my coolant hoses in the next two weeks.
What would be a reason to go bilstein over Monroe? I currently have bilstein 4600s on my Amazon wish list. When ever I replaced something on the truck I usually try to go with a high quality part than I took off of it and the truck is used to paved road driving/towing in the summer. It sees a...
I am looking for suggestions to replace the shocks on my 2006 Ram 1500 RWD Crew Cab. I do not need anything geared toward offroading since the most offroading I do is an occasional dirt road. My current shocks have about 117,000 miles on them and when I hit a bump I feel like the truck just...
The wife and I went car shopping a couple of weeks ago and sat in a used 370Z that you could def tell was owned by a smoker. The salesman tried to convince us that he could get rid of the smell but if that were the case, it would not have been put out on the lot smelling, they would have...
My 2006 Hemi has over 115,000 miles on it and since I bought it with 55,000 miles on it I have run nothing but Mobil 1 5w-20 full synthetic and the other than a little lifter noise on cold starts the thing runs quiet and smooth. Crazy how some have this "hemi tick" and attribute it to Mobil 1...
The part shown in the link you provided and the part I found on Moog-Suspension-Parts.com - A Dealer of the Federal Mogul Brand of Suspension Parts look very different.
MOOG MOOG-K7465 Front Lower Ball Joint Made by MOOG
So after 115,000 miles the brakes on my 06 Ram 1500 2WD need to be replaced. The current rotors are warped and the thing shakes pretty good coming to a stop so I was looking at maybe getting some high performance rotors that can dissapate heat better to prevent warpage as well as maybe some...
I have 2006 2WD 1500 and while changing the oil the other day I noticed that the rubber on my right front lower ball joint was tore. It did not look like the ball joints could just be replaced, it looked like the whole lower control arm needs to be changed out. Is this the case or can I just...
My onboard computer mileage counter claims I average about 19.6 on my monthly drive from Houston to Lafayette but when you hand calculate it it is actually closer to 17.5. Don't due alot of city driving, I would say around 13-14 in town if I had to guess.

Well it's nearly the same color as the coolant and I am losing coolant slowly and have not been able to pinpoint where. I just replaced the radiator cap thinking maybe it wasn't holding pressure but in still loosing it. Does the intake manifold have any coolant passages in it? Maybe one has a...
I am not talking about the orange ring between the TB and the intake. This is a faint orange discoloration inside the intake manifold itself behind the throttle body that just goes back inside the actual intake manifold. I will take a picture next time I have a chance to year it down.

So I started my 100,000 mile maintenance and when I removed the throttle body to clean it I saw a small narrow strip of orange color inside the intake manifold shortly behind where the throttle body mounts and it keeps going back into the intake for as far as I could see (didn't think to look...
Ok thanks for all the advice and I wouldn't mind meeting up in Conroe sometime. Next week I'll be leaving the country for a month but maybe we can work something out when I get back.
Also my brake rotors are warped and the whole dang truck shakes coming to a stop, anyone know where in can get...
Can't do gears. I do ALOT of hwy driving and can't give up the fuel mileage gears will cost me. Looks like programmer is the way to first then.

I have a bone stock 2006 Ram 1500 HEMI. I am not out to race or anything, just trying to squeeze a couple more mpg out of the truck and also provide a little more power for towing.
I have 21.5 ft wake boat that weighs in about 5,000 lbs with trailer and gear and the truck hunts for gears at...
another quick question, i plan on decarbing with sea foam. where is the best place to introduce it? i was thinking the brake booster line if it will reach all the cylinders from there
They say on here not to use Mobil 1 because is supposedly causes the "Hemi Tick". I've used nothing but Mobil 1 for the last 40,000 miles and I have no tick noise

Thanks for the tips, I do plan on doing this all myself so that should save me a good amount right there. I will have to look into this timing chain tensioner
I am new here on the Dodge Ram Forums and I have a 2006 Dodge Ram Hemi with 95,000 miles. I am going to spread out my 100,000 mile maintenance over the next three service intervals to keep the sticker shock of everything down, here is my to do list...

I would like to do the CAI, Exhaust, and Tuner to save fuel, but also to help out with power while pulling my boat. I hate how the truck hunts for gears while towing up a moderate incline.
