5th Wheel or Bumper Pull Toyhauler?

Sorry it's off-topic, but I see you have the night package. It's awesome, but if you have your tires flipped to blackwall side out, and replace the chrome lug nuts with black ones, be prepared to be amazed. I did it to mine and love it. I still haven't figured out why Ram used chrome lug nuts on...

    Pac-Brake Oil Filter Relocation Kit

I was fired up about this kit until I crawled under my Gen5 to change the oil for the first time. The engineers at FCA must not hate techs as much as they used to, as there is so much room, I can't talk myself into spending the money now.

Royal Purple 20-820 no longer made?

Speaking of winging it, I was having lunch with a retired Ford engineer and he told me a similar story. I already forgot which engine, but they had already finished their longevity testing for this particular motor using 5w-30, and everything was great. Well after that but before launch, the...

    2021 PW Help/Question

Hello from a fellow KTM addict. I have a regular 2500 4WD and like the others have said, it's the smoothest HD truck I have ever been in. That being said, there is about 1 mile of I85 by the Union City exit south of Atlanta where some kind of resonance happens with the repaired concrete they...

Royal Purple 20-820 no longer made?

There must be one heck of a design difference in these trucks based on your options. I had a mountain of room for my large RP filter. Probably only because I became concerned and picked up the smaller synthetic Fram filter just in case! This was my truck's first oil change, so I wasn't sure what...

    Well, half the camshaft battle...

Hell, I just had a similar problem on my KTM790R motorcycle! Camshaft was not hardened properly. I am assuming that this has been ruled out as the cause for these cam/lifter problems?

    Pac-Brake Oil Filter Relocation Kit

I love the quality look this extender has; it seems first class all the way. The only thing that bugs me is that the filter is down low. I know the frame sticks down lower, but still it makes me scratch my head a little bit and wonder if there is an alternate location where it could go. I think...

Intake and exhaust mods for 22 2500 6.4L

Be pretty cool if tuners came stock! Although, that's a lot to ask from a company that can't afford to install an underhood light, even on a $90K truck!

    No underhood light?

Right - you probably were typing at the same time as the post above you. 2018 was the last year for even the plug.

    No underhood light?

    Thanks for the conclusive answer.

Intake and exhaust mods for 22 2500 6.4L

Interesting to see the difference between the oem air filter and the AC Delco one.

    No underhood light?

I'm a bit of an electrical geek, so in one sense it's nice that I can come up with a lighting package that will suit me. But I'm still stunned that Ram cheaped out on this.

    No underhood light?

So, I bought a pretty well optioned '22 2500 Laramie, 6.4 engine. Imagine my surprise when I opened the hood and there is no under hood light. This was not an inexpensive truck. Is Ram really that cheap? What the heck?

Intake and exhaust mods for 22 2500 6.4L

It is pretty impressive for stock, yes? There is a big plastic cover that hides those intakes though, presumably to keep water out. He has removed it.

    Cold air intake HELP

Well, now I think the OEM filter is Wix, based on some googling, but in any event, I am replacing it because it isn't very good at what it does. Also, unless I really misunderstood the PNs I was looking at when ordering a new air filter, the diesel uses the same air filter. So, if the...

    Cold air intake HELP

Good question. I'll take some measurements when I replace the filter as soon as it arrives. Stock filter has to be a Fram because of the color and the fact that there is already fine dust on what should be the clean side of the airbox after less than 3000 miles. Fram sucks at everything.

    Cold air intake HELP

Too late to pop all those rivets tonight, but I did look at the airbox, and that's the biggest stock one I have seen on a vehicle I have owned. That's a plus.

    Cold air intake HELP

I thought that looked familiar; that's the exact same intake as on the gas 6.4! What seems kind of pointless is that the opening is right on the top of the radiator, so if you're not moving, that's seriously hot air. It's actually hard to tell what is going on under that cover. I need to grab a...

Yeah, I see all that height, and I want to fill it with air intake parts.

    Cold air intake HELP

Thanks! I will absolutely pay a premium for parts that perfectly integrate with my truck. That being said, that's for a 1500, so I need to see if there is a similar offering for a 2500 with the 6.4 gas engine. But this gives me motivation, so again, thanks!

    Cold air intake HELP

What does this factory ram air look like? Pictures please! The only thing I like better than throwing performance parts on my truck is throwing performance parts that look factory.

    Cold air intake HELP

That's a big increase! Are you still happy with it? I think I may have found my first real mod to my truck!

Intake and exhaust mods for 22 2500 6.4L

This is probably going to be a little long. I love my new 2500, but of course, it can always be better. I've had company cars forever, so this is my first vehicle in a long time that I can mod to my liking. I've been spending time and money on my motorcycles, so I'm trying to use that experience...

Hard Tonneau Covers ... Looking for Recommendations, Reviews, Opinions....

I love the factory Ram trifold that came on my 2500. Super easy to remove and very light too. I like it 10 times better than the peragon I had on my F150. Leaked and was a PITA to remove and replace.
