So these tranny's are not vented to the atmosphere at all? It seems the case pressure would build up and affect line pressures. Or is the head space purged with nitrogen at the factory?- Frontbutz

2015 ram 1500 sport front sway bar cracked

Looking at a 2016 1500 and have a couple of questions.
Average vehicle mileage per year is 15,000 miles. If you do get it I would suggest changing all fluids/oils so you have a baseline of when they were last changed.- Frontbutz

Can you remove the cv axles?
I have a long trip coming up too and was thinking of saving wear on my tires and taking them all off. Does anyone see an issue with just driving on the rotors? I mean a wagon wheel is made of wood and a solid wheel of metal would seem to be somewhat better. Change my mind.- Frontbutz

Premium vs regular gas

Accidentally remote started truck with no oil- am I okay?
It seems there maybe something wrong with the safety switches on your truck. When you remote start, it locks the doors, checks for hood closure, then starts (unless different years or aftermarket they don't). ZF8 - PPE Pan Install and D6 Changeout to Maxlife
Had to jack mine up 10.5" to get the tranny level, used 6 ton set of stands, made in USA. Used the LifeGuard Fluid 8 from Carid website, had the best pricing and veteran discount. Drained 4qts when cold (not able to pull drain plug without a shaved 10mm right angle because of the exhaust pipe)...- Frontbutz

Rear differential pinion gear nut remove for 2012 Ram 1500 5.7 4x4
Never heard of a 12 corner socket. There are 6-point and 12-point, so for this I would recommend a 12-point flank drive socket.- Frontbutz

I'm not too keen on the headlamp idea either. Clamping an energy releasing bungee cord around your head with multiple electron storage devices seems risky. If you don't align the strap right you can smack your eye with the bungee, and the electron storage units are an explosion hazard, and...- Frontbutz

Ram 5.7Hemi Coolant Flush DIY
I haven't drained mine yet, but manual shows 18.3 qts total capacity, so if flushed with water several times and you can drain out at least 9 qts or more which would be half the system, then for the final fill with 9.15 qts concentrate (half the system) then the rest with water you should be at...- Frontbutz

Hemi 5.7l v8 Rear Differential Cover ?
My 2015 Ram also has the rubber plug in the cover and a fill and drain. So do you fill to spill the rubber plug hole or the diff fill plug hole? The video I saw from a "professional" on youtube removed the fill plug first to make sure it would come out and not seized, but in the end he ended... -

Is this normal?
My 2015 has been doing this too, I have to bang it back with a hammer at the wheels. Does anyone have a video of replacing the corroded levers? I see dorman has the levers and rubber boots, but not sure how they attach to the drum brake hardware. The dorman p/n is 924544. If the OEM levers...
