No, You have more pressure going towards the calipers then you do coming back though the lines to relieve the pressure on the pads.
like @crash68 said, the lines collapse internally acting like a one-way check valve.
Just curious, what don’t you like about the new Cummins?
I know they went to hydraulic lifters and I believe they went back to the CP3 pump after trying the CP4.2 with issues.
I have a 2018 with 70k that has been trouble-free so far and looking to trade it in when the lots start filling up.

they have GM style tow mirrors for ram. I replaced mine for the same reason.
Only down side is that you loose the power fold option.
Check your emergency brake cables by the drivers side rear tire. Mine had a squeak were the cables went through the hanger. You should be able to push down on the rear bumper to duplicate the squeak if that is it.
