Rockauto water separator and one from Amazon where Amazon was the seller both are identical no silver ring and look to be legit. That being said I am going to stick to Geno’s and Rock Auto so I know they are legit.
Smart! I did the same in my 08 Yukon XL. In my 14 Cummins Ram I used Peak Lifetime Global and I think I’ll use Prestone Universal in 2018 Yukon XL too. I have had zero issues. I changed my Ram over when I replaced the heater core that was no longer working due to that sludge from factory fill.
Did it start after you changed anything like the oil, the fuel filters, bought fuel, etc?
Have you ever used some fuel injector cleaner? Mine doesn’t really do a crazy amount of boost but it would depend on tune you are running too. Are you comparing someone else with that tune or just yours...
That is the style they sell at Napa I ended up having injectors go while using but may not have been the cause though. That is what dealer told me so I don’t use them anymore after getting new injectors.
The mopar ones say fleet guard on them so I believe they are identical still. So if they are farmed out they are at least the same. I wish wix would make an OEM equivalent one for a better price.
I agree it shouldn’t matter anyway. When I order an item it should be legit. I know when I order oil on Walmart or an oil filter I have received what I ordered not a fake. Don’t blame the victim right?
I think yours is legit. It makes sense to why they wrote that on the newer ones. The unit I posted is indeed a Mopar boxed one. My truck currently has a Fleetguard boxed one which I haven’t wanted to open up housing to see how it looked. I might just go up to the dealer to get one to be safe...
Looks like you got a fake too. Real ones don’t have the extra stuff on there like “6.7L Cummins” and “Turbo Diesel” as far as I remember. I hope I am wrong.
At least yours is spelled out fully. Mine is missing the “l”.
Sure sounds like it is coming from that vacuum pump. I hope they figure it out soon. If they don’t have ready but this week I would get them to release the vehicle to an independent shop and tow it there. That is just not acceptable.
I got a set of counterfeit from Amazon the seller was Woot. I didn’t use them getting money back. The whole reason I buy OEM filters is to avoid issues and damage to the system. First two pics I took. The third pic I got online as I didn’t have the knockoff anymore. I bought the oil filter...
Thank you! My hunch was fake but is didn’t have another on hand as it was already in my pickup. I usually keep a set on hand incase and keep them with my pickup in the event I need them on the road. I saw this when I opened it and thought this has to be fake. Looked online and saw a lot of...
I would avoid the FS43255 as the micron rating isn’t as good as the updated one. I think they learned that unit wasn’t good enough. The FS53000 is the way to go. Can get them for around $60. Just make sure they are from legit seller and don’t look like this!
I am late to this party but wanted to say a couple things.
First: Fleetguard and Mopar fuel filter by the engine are the best I have found rating wise and they are literally the same filter as the Mopar one is just the Fleetguard in different box. I had injectors fail and truly think using...
That looks like the right stuff where all you will need is the right seats and the right wheel and clock spring to me. Mine has way less wires and in need of the harness I am getting from Mike.
