Does anyone else but me think there are way too many electronics in today's vehicles?

I'm down for all the safety additions, but more electronics/tech means more things to break. Even if they break at the same rate as before, more stuff means more things breaking at any given time, which cost $$ and new knowledge to repair or replace.

What did you end up doing? I have the same trim and issue on a 2014.

Transmission pan and fluid change questions

Stupid question but can you drain the old fluid first while it’s hot and then wait for everything to come down to 85? I took my truck to my friends lift to do this and some other work, a few hours in it I was all done with the rest and the trans reading was still well over 100F. I assume...

    Flickering tail light

Basically but without the resistor block shown in the connector in the first image, and chrome trim. I think these are the official: https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-tail-stop-backup-lamp-right-68093078ac

    Flickering tail light

Good idea, yeah I’ll definitely check the grounds. Battery is relatively new and the connects are nice and clean/greased but could be anything else. Already plan to have her up on a lift this week to do oil, ATF, sparks, and rear brake pads. I’ll just add that to the list lol.

    Flickering tail light

They’re factory. I was just thinking if some quantity of LEDs in the array are out, then the entire assembly is giving less resistance, and by artificially adding some back to the line it might trick the system into thinking that it’s all good.

    Flickering tail light

Interesting. It may be that one single LED out of a whole array is bad and causing that lack of resistance. If so it's not enough for me to even tell visually. So maybe I can just add some resistance to the line to spoof a good bulb? Or, do you have a link to something? A small update...

    Flickering tail light

Alright, so I haven't been able to find exactly the information I've been looking for on this. I recently had my right turn signal start flashing rapidly and then dash indicator tell me that my rear brake light was out. The issue is that the brake light isn't out at all and I see that the...

    Hidden 12V USB - 2014 Ram 1500

Relatively simple job but thought it might help someone out to post. This post is about hiding the 12V line for a phone charger. Automatic transmission fluid and filter change

I've read elsewhere (forgotten where) that FCA's "internal" definition of lifetime, at least for this, is 100k.
