Slept on it and decided I'm going with a Jasper Reman. The 3 year 100,000 mile warranty was the deciding factor. The shop that's doing it can start on it next Tuesday already which is nice cuz I can't wait to have my truck back to normal!!!- KDog456

Just talked to a different Ram Dealership near me, they said they have a couple orders in for 5.7 Hemi replacement engines but they are ALSO on backorder, wow Sticking $7,000 ($5k engine + $2k install) into a truck that has 126,000 miles is a tough pill to swallow :banghead: I guess the...- KDog456

I had JBA shorties on the truck but took them off because I couldn't stand all the ticking/engine noise.....now I know what caused all the ticking. They're still sitting in my garage, so yeah I may as well get them put back on the new motor- KDog456

I finally was able to get some quotes from a local engine rebuilding shop, since the Ram dealership was absolutely useless! They claimed they "couldn't find anyone willing to get rid of an engine" when I asked them to price one out for me. I swear all these dealerships care about is selling...- KDog456

I'm having the dealer price out an engine replacement. My worry otherwise is that if and when the lifters do come in, I will spend close to $4K and it might not even solve the issue of the tick and knock that the engine is making currently, also a misfire on cylinder #2.- KDog456

Well a full week has gone by since I opened a "case" with FCA Customer Care. They have told me they have "escalated" my issue, but yet the parts department of FCA will not give the customer care team any information on any anticipated ship date for the backordered lifters. The Ram 5.7 lifters are on backorder, i think specifically the MDS ones (must be alot of other Rams having the same issue as mine :( ). Non-MDS lifters are in stock. Alot of websites are showing them "in stock" as you search and add them to your cart, only to tell you they are not available when...- KDog456

Yes paying out of pocket, dealer quoted $3,800 for lifters, head gaskets, intake gaskets and camshaft (parts and labor). 125,000 miles on my truck, up until recently was just using whatever bulk oil the shop had every 3,000 miles. Recently switched to Redline 5w30....wish I would have done so...- KDog456

Guys, my truck will be going in to get all the lifters replaced (and potentially a new cam also). The dealership is telling me they are having a hard time finding lifters. My question is, since I have a custom HF tune and the MDS is disabled, are there different OEM lifters that would work...- KDog456

Wheel Spacers Size?
I will be putting stock sport rims on my truck. 20"x9" +19mm offset. What size wheel spacers will get me close to a -12mm offset? Which brand/type spacer is best? I have heard BORA is good.... Any help is appreciated. Thanks -
Gladiator Tires
I bought mine (35x12.50R20) off Ebay for $230/ea. Thus far I love them and get compliments on them all the time. The price was too good for me to pass up I just had to give them a shot! -

Thanks everyone! I am waiting to get an alignment and I will monitor for any vibrations afterwards. I'm sure it vibrates some just from the meaty treads on the tires but I haven't noticed any significant vibrations so far. My CV axles do seem to be perfectly straight though so I'm hoping for no...- KDog456

Y-Pipe....what did you pay to have yours put in?
I will be having a shop remove my 14" magnaflow and install a y-pipe and pipe extension in its place. They told me roughly $100 including materials. I will update on actual cost once its completed.- KDog456
