    Thanks for the reply. Off to get oil on tuesday. Already had the fill plug out. Oil didn’t look the healthiest hence the change. But she is nearly on 200,000. Had some real TLC in the 2 years i’ve owned it. I still absolutely love it!

    I now know what the disclaimer is for. Its for the difference between the JTEC and NGC engines. Identical timing kits, depending on supplier apart from the tone wheel on the cam sprocket. Seems obvious now i know.

    Thats something I’ve considered. Is the chain tension ok at lower revs but as it climbs higher is the slack too much to keep it all in sync? I’ve known engines run 180° out so anything is possible. Few more wiring checks to do as I think there may still be issues there. Always the same fault...

    Cheers for that link, working through the possible causes. I have an OBD scanner coming so i can clear off the faults and see what comes back on. The odd one is the limited revs. Do the cam sensor this weekend and check the wiring on the crank sensor is the next step.
