Is anyone's oil NOT black immediately after an oil change?
Just my thoughts/ experience - If you are not running a bypass filter system I would highly recommend it. Amsoil makes a nice one that I have installed in several brands of trucks. Oil Filter Relocation
I did the Amsoil dual filtration w/ bypass filter, and put it along frame rail on pass. side. As a bonus it also lowered the oil temp w/ no change in pressure.- WarrenOut

Oil viscosity and usage
Amsoil Signature Series, but make sure to put the dual remote bypass filter on it if you plan on keeping the truck. Clean oil is key.- WarrenOut
