    New cat suggestions?

Probably not, we don't have emissions tests here in south Dakota.

    New cat suggestions?

Looking for a decent replacement right and left cats with pipes for 2005 ram 1500. I'm not really sure about which to get. Reviews on cheaper walker are not great. I can't find any reviews on AP which seem to be another budget friendly choice. I have some new Flowmaster headers and am looking...

    Exhaust opinions

I just ordered a set of Flowmaster shorty headers and am looking at the Flowmaster duals that come out the passenger side just in front of the rear wheel. Has anyone done this setup yet? Any pointers or better recommendations? Thanks

    Backfiring?

I had been experiencing backfiring for awhile now in my 2005 ram 1500and took my truck to my shop at Thermo King, where I work to root out the cause. Lo and behold, I noticed that my header on the passenger side were rotted through in a couple spots. Just threw some thinner heat shield for our...

    Backfiring?

My 2005 ram 1500 has been making popping noises when I let off the throttle at highway speeds. It's not a consistent thing, but concerning because it is a relatively new phenomenon. What is the best way to address this issue? Thanks guys!

    Oil pan gasket 5.7 hemi

I watched that same video and another one, which was an hour long. It was pretty good. I don't know much about dealing with lift kits, I would assume that the execution would be the same. Hopefully it doesn't have any unpleasant surprises for you https://youtu.be/0huLTayGJyk

    Oil pan gasket 5.7 hemi

I found that out the hard way. Had the front up on ramps and the pan was already down on the axle. Was scared to start it, so I popped it in neutral and pushed it down by myself. Almost hit the closed overhead door in the Thermo King shop I work at. Thankfully, I got it done. @ 216,000 miles, I...

    Oil pan gasket 5.7 hemi

I'm looking for advice on replacing my oil pan gasket on my 2005 ram 1500. I don't know exactly what I have to do to drop the pan. Looking at YouTube, there's a few videos of trucks with a solid front axle. Mine doesn't have that. Has anyone done this who is willing to provide some guidance...

    Transmission flush?

My 2005 ram 1500 has 216k miles and I'm due for a fluid change. Any thoughts on whether or not a flush is safe and/or advisable? I'd like to get a rebuilt one eventually, but I don't have the funds

    Custom exhaust options, anyone?

I'm planning on doing a budget overhaul on my 2005 1500, it's hugely sentimental to me. I have seen some pretty cool exhaust options that dump the exhaust on the passenger side just before the rear wheel. I want the true dual and have it be mirrored on both sides before the rear tires. Is there...

    Crank case hose to intake

I noticed that there's alot of residue forming in the intake elbow after my air filter just before the throttle body. Would eliminating the recirculation of crankcase gasses into the intake and routing them elsewhere increase performance, and make it run cleaner, or would any issues develop...

Engine swap... what are the experts thoughts

That's what I was thinking, I learned to do body work while incarcerated which will be half the cost. I just need to start with the front end suspension, then tires, then windshield, then everything else

Engine swap... what are the experts thoughts

Looking to possibly swap my 2005 5.7 with 212,000 miles on it with a rebuilt 5.7, as well as a rebuilt transmission. I'm sure someone has done it. Any suggestions and pointers? Also looking to redo the suspension and eventually repaint

2005 5.7 went into limp mode

My 5.7 2005 ram had 211,000 miles on it. I experienced it going into limp mode over Thanksgiving weekend. I was leaving town to drive 6 hours back home when it seemed to be stuck in 3rd gear. I pulled over, checked the codes p0700 and p0876. I checked the fluid, level and color fine, no abnormal...
