Are you sure you dont have a bolt in the back of the headlight assembly mine is newer but besides the clip in the wheel well there is another bolt also hope this helps

Did you test the battery with a meter to make sure the battery is dead? I would replace it with one from walmart they have 4 year warranty and they are cheaper then a oem battery. I would be surprised if you had a bad alternator.
You can use the cigarette ligjter fuse unde the hood or any other fuse that would be on in acc you can check them with a meter. I normally use a fuse tap. Makes it easier
