    Living with MDS, 2019 6.4 w/ 65k

I feel exactly what you do with my '19 1500 Classic when coming back into 8 cylinder. Feel like I really have to push the pedal further to get it past the lag. I shut off every time I shift. In mine, tow/haul only delays MDS instead of disabling it.

Tire balance issue? Or bad tires?

Just went though this with a really good shop, twice. First set they balanced multiple times with all zeros, twice. Had higher speed shake. Decided to buy a different set of tires and that was noticeably better at the same shop, but not perfect. I had to call around to find a shop that does road...

    Tazer options on '19 Classic

Considering buying a Tazer to shut off ESC mainly. Instructions state you can change Engine Power Mode and Transmission Mode, but they also state it may not work on every vehicle. Anyone have a '19 Classic and these two options work?

    Farewell Ram and hello Tundra

I had my '99 Sierra NBS for 10 years and loved it. Most reliable vehicle I've ever had, but made the decision last year to buy something newer that wasn't a hybrid and was still new enough to fend off the rust (love WI). Ended up with a Canadian '19 Classic. I really like this truck, but...

    Well that’s disappointing

My big concern is that I think they are limiting how many modifications can be done. Has anyone installed a bigger cam and headers in an e-torque? Maybe I'm ignorant but sounds like a tuning nightmare.

    Oil Filter Thread

I wish I had time to dig this out of the garbage and mock up for a picture. I barely have time to change my oil these days. It is too long and can't even get it in straight enough to start threads. The power steering rack prevents this. Could have something to do with it being sold in...

    Oil Filter Thread

It's too long. Maybe if I unbolt the motor mount and jack the engine up, I could get it in there. For now it's in the garbage.

    Oil Filter Thread

Royal Purple 20-500 does not fit my '19 1500 Classic. Just found out the hard way.

Pouring leak from the roof of my 2019 Big Horn: NOT HAPPY

Pull the carpet up and set some fans in for a weekend. That might not even dry it up. My old GMC had a leak and took a stupid amount of time to dry the carpet.

    Oil Filter Thread

OK I'm confused. I was searching for the RP 20-820 filter online and no one has them or they are stupid expensive. I tried looking back through here and see some filters may have changed their media and some not available? What constitutes the top three at this time? Or what amsoil part number...

4th Gen Rear Diff Fluid Discrepancy?

I'm running Valvoline 80w-90 without friction modifier in my '19 1500 Classic. But this is because I installed a Tru Trac differential. Works great in all temperatures and loads so far.

MPG Update on 2019 Laramie 4X4 Hemi 3.92

Just ran about 400 miles on a trip in my '19 Classic 5.7 CC, 5'6" bed, 4x4, tonneau cover, stock SRA tires, level, no muffler, Trutrac diff. A great deal with cruise set at 78 and half the trip was a bit windy. Calculated and display matched at 18.5 mpg. I had my wife and three kids with as...

Did Lubegard Biotech kill your hemi tick??

Changed my vote. Big difference for sure, but still have an intermittent"slap" once warm at idle. The engine overall is waaaay quieter though. Next time I change oil I'm going for Redline.

Did Lubegard Biotech kill your hemi tick??

I think the Lubegard has made a difference! My engine is very quiet now and the random slap seems to have disappeared.

Did Lubegard Biotech kill your hemi tick??

Just added 15 oz Lube Guard yesterday at 34,685 miles. In the past I've experience a 5-10 second tick on startup and also at warm idle. All of it has been intermittent. Warm idle tick reminds me of piston slap. I'll participate in the poll after 500 miles.

    Yet another oil thread..

Where is everyone getting their Lubegard Bio/Tech? I put 5w-20 O'Reilly synthetic in my 5.7 and regret it after everything I am reading about oil and Hemis. I think I'll add some Lubegard until my next oil change and will probably go with Redline since my 34500 mile engine ticks intermittently...

    Detroit Truetrac

I would say 4-5 hours?? That's probably on the high side. No hoist, no impacts and some time wasted trying to beat the break rotors with a dead blow. (Ended up removing rotors from the axle shafts after they were out of the housing) Also had to make the tool to torque the side adjusters.

    Detroit Truetrac

I agree with the comment to get the converter you want and wait to afford the diff swap if needed. I just installed a Trutrac in my '19 Classic and it was easy. If coarse with 33,000 miles all my seals and bearings are in great shape. No need to change extra seals, bearings, etc. I purchased...

    9.25 ZF trutrac, direct install?

Just finished installing a TruTrac in my '19 Classic yesterday. Had an open diff before and man what a difference! Bought mine from Jegs for $525, but the big challenge was finding carrier bearings as they are expensive and on backorder from Mopar. Parts stores had the wrong bearings even when...

Eaton TrueTrac Oil, What are you guys running?

Eaton's recommendation is 80w-90 non-synthetic with no friction modifiers. I personally picked up a couple quarts of Valvoline today for my Trutrac install.
