What has been you're Ram experiences

One would think Dodge/Ram/Stellantis would have figured out how to fix the manifold bolts on the 5.7's by now. I guess it's cheaper to fix the ones that break than fix the problem completely. SMH

Truck has been sitting - New engine worth it?

That's a tough decision I'm sure. Just some food for thought here. Wholesale prices for used vehicles is falling fast right now due to the inflation causing loan rate hikes. So far that hasn't translated to cheaper prices on the lots, but dealers will eventually be forced to lower prices to move...

    Uconnect Now Limited

Well brother, with enough money you can get it done I'm sure. However, with all the electronics that would probably have to go along with the purchase of the radio the dollars will likely add up quickly. I doubt seriouly Ram/Stellantis would replace yours with a new one for free though. Good...

    Uconnect Fiasco

I'm old now, and have learned a few things along the way. If I calculate it correctly you're maybe 20 bucks to the bad with the $70 dollar refund (if you actually get it). Now, here's where the old man waxes philosophical. Twenty bucks just isn't worth getting yourself all in a knot over. Chalk...

What has been you're Ram experiences

This is my first ever Ram truck. Owning it for only 3 months we're still in the honeymoon phase of our relationship. I was an F-150 fanboy since the early '80's, and that's all I would buy. When I went to my local Ford dealer, that I have bought many new Fords from, I was treated like a first...

2022 RAM 1500 BIGHORN WITH TECSTAR PACKAGE--ROUGH RIDE

Just a thought. Check the PSI in your tires. Too much, and you'll feel evry little bad spot in the road. I'm worse than Cheech as I know zip about lifts, but I can see where the spring rating that comes with the lift could cause some rough rides. It is a good looking truck for sure, and I hope...

    Mystery stop??

Yep, it sounds like your parking sensors are picking up something. That can be disabled in the settings of the infotainment system if you want. BTW, you could have some dirt/gunk on/around the sensors. Maybe try cleaning them could help.

New Ram owner - running board opinions

My wife is 5' 1", and she absolutely loves the power running boards on our Ram. She can just walk right up into the cab. My previous truck was a 2020 Ford Ranger with the fixed boards, and the boards themselves were a bit too high for her. We had the power boards on a previous F-150, and she...

Your ACTUAL gas Mileage with a 5.7 Hemi

We just took a 1200 mile road trip. 500 up, 500 back, and a couple hundred around the countryside of the location we were visiting. The "lieometer" showed 22.8 mpgs on 87 octane. I tried to stay within 3/5 over the limit with the fastest speed limit being 70 mph. Now, I know that's too high (I...

    New Ram Owner Has Questions

IMHO don't overthink it. Just take care of your truck, and it will take care of you. If you can't get the tick, etc out of your mind maybe get yourself an extended warranty (a genine MOPAR warranty, not a third party). My OCD is taking care of my vehicles, but I did buy an 8/85 MOPAR entended...

Ram UConnect software stuff - worth it?

Mine came with all that stuff, and all is use is the navigation. And, I don't use that unless I'm on a longer trip. However, that Harmon Kardon was worth the dough for me. I do likes my music.......:)

power deployable running boards slow or close

No sir, the speed is the speed. My previous truck (F-150) had the power steps, and I knew my Ram would have to have them. I've never had a problem with the speed of the deployment in either. Unless your a first responder I don't think you will have a problem with the speed. I would be hard...

    Dark Navigation Screen

I'm going off my menory, and that's quite scarry. But, if I remember correctly there may be a brightness setting in the settings for the navi. I hope I'm right.

    Mpgs?

Very true. My '22 1500 5.7L with the 3:21's is within a gnats hair of yours. We're taking it on it's inagural road trip tomorrow. If it gets anywhere close to 20 overall when we return I'll be quite happy. If it doesn't this is still the nicest truck I've ever owned, and I will be fine with...

    Need some help,

Make it easy on yourself, call one of your local auto parts store, i.e. Advance, AutoZone, etc. to get the best price. Then if possible find a friend to jump Big Red, and take it to the best price Auto Parts Store. They will change it out for free. You've got more important things to do right...

    Thinking of selling :(

I used Carvana, and Carmax web sites to get an idea on the price of my Ranger. Come to find out Carvana was the best way to go for me. The offer was higher than I thought. But hurry, the used car market is trying to return to normal, and prices are starting to fall.

    Well that’s disappointing

Yes sir, that's the reasons my '22 1500 has the plain old 5.7L. Plus after reading threads about the E-Torque mpgs, I just didn't see the need. My Ram is an intermittent daily driver, and while mpgs are important these days, I don't run a lot of gas through mine anyway. Now, with the news that...

Carven Progressive Exhaust ordered! Am I gonna like it?

I seriously think some people have no idea what "drone" sounds like. They confuse the sound of the exhaust with actual drone. Once you have owned an exhaust with drone you won't forget that aggravating sound. I experienced that years back with my first set on Flowmasters I installed on an F-150.

    Help me choose which truck

When buying pre owned I'm a fan of non-modded vehicles. You have no way of knowing who did the mods, and if they were done correctly. The black one is my choice. If the truck has been properly maintained (very important) I wouldn't worry about the miles. Good luck on your decision. Oops, I...
