    Nothings wrong with the engine temp or coolant temp. 1 out of 10 drives, the needle is stuck at bottom for as long as I drive, until I restart the engine and then it jumps up to normal working temp. Thats the core of this thread, that the gauge needle isnt reacting as it should. And it seems...

    Yes, i do have a paper board blocking the radiator. However, when the engine temp reach normal it stays there and do not sway. I can only think to replace the temp sensor and thermostat again after the winter is over. I wonder if the thermostat isn't closed properly, and thus letting cool water...

    Didn't notice. But if anything it would be an increase of MPG if the fan's constant high rpm actually taking more power out of the engine.
