I have been having similar issues with my `17. One of my coworkers has an '18 and he said he is having the same issue. We will have to try some of these suggestions and see what happens.
Just as an update, I sold this truck a couple of months ago. The new owner is someone I work with and he mentioned that one of the bulbs went out. I am going to help him replace them, with H9's again. So they have lasted 8 1/2 years. Pretty good I would think.
I'm glad I was able to help. Mine are still going strong, so until I find some silverstar bulbs I'm in good shape.

Spent yesterday and today installing an aftermarket seat heating setup. Bought it last fall and didn't get a chance to install it before winter. Figured it would be prudent to get it done before this winter. It wasn't too bad really, taking the seats apart was the toughest part. I didn't think...
Mine has been parked for the last week. I acquired a 00 Ranger that I am going to drive so I can keep the miles down on the Ram.

My '10 will roll the front windows down from the fob. If you push the unlock button once, then hold it on the second push, they will go down until you release, all the way down if hold the button long enough. I think that function was removed in' 12 though. I really wish it would go back up once...
I have always been curios, what do you do with the sensors or whatever there is for letting the truck know it needs to deploy the airbag?
I really don't know how that works, but figured there has to be something in there for that.
Spent yesterday working on putting the new CAT's in. While I had it up on a lift to do that, I found that the outer boot on the drivers axle shaft was toast and grease was everywhere. Called the wife to bring my car out to where I was working so I could go to the parts house. While she was on...
My hooks are on with the open end facing outward. I'm sure that they are on correct as they are factory installed, well I would expect them to install correctly.
Welcome to the forum.
I too was born and raised in CA and evacuated when my daughter was getting close to school age, since then public schools were risky, I made the decision to leave. Some of the things that I see going on there now make me wonder what the people there are thinking keeping...
Just to add to the guys that have a working system. Mine is the 32 gal tank, according to the build sheet. Friday evening I put 28.98 gallons into it just as the DTE went from 12 miles to LOW FUEL. The most I have ever put in was 29.78 at a similar fuel level. I usually fill when the light...
I didn't do the high beams on mine. Just left the stock ones in. I have been running the H9 since I did this post. Still working fine and I haven't noticed any issues with the housing, but I haven't been into the back of it, so don't know what could be back there.
Where did you cut the wire, on the truck side or trailer side of the plug?
Sounds to me like there may be a short in the socket on either side, or a wire somewhere along the way. Is it the first time you have towed anything?
Every manufacturer has recalls. Like said, rushing them to market to compete is a hotbed for mistakes.
We have a 17 Chevy Duramax at my work that has already been in for one recall and it only has about 4K on it.
So what you are saying is that isn't the speed limit..... ;)
I am from Fresno originally and the times I have been back there the highest limit I have seen is 70... That doesn't mean anyone drives the limit. From what I have seen the limit seems to just be a suggestion.
Good for...
