Steering wheel “sticking” on long sweeping left turns

2021 Ram 1500 Like the title says, while doing a long sweeping left turn, like on an interstate exit ramp, the steering wheel feels like it’s sticking, and doesn’t want to correct itself straight, to where I have to actively pull it back slightly. I do not have lane assist in this truck...

Need help with touch up paint

2021 Laramie I bought the truck used a few weeks ago. There are a number of chips on the front of the truck and various other places My paint code is PWD. I went to my local dealership, and not only did they not have it, they said that it’s on back order all over the country until June. So...

What did you do with your 5th Gen this week?

Seriously. I work out almost daily, and I work in construction. So I don't have baby hands. And these damn liners kicked the hell out of them.

What did you do with your 5th Gen this week?

Installed the Rough Country rear wheel well liners. They were a ******** to get in there, and my hands are all jacked up now, but I got it done.

Load Floor Option for 2021 1500 Laramie?

My 2017 had a fold out load floor for the rear of the cab. It was extremely useful, especially when my dog was in the truck. I didn't have to worry about her tearing up the seats, and she was able to stick her head out the windows. Is there an option like this for the 2021 1500 Laramie? This...

Asking for a courtesy vehicle from the dealership

An update on this: I was in kind of a pissy mood when I made my original post, so sorry if I came off as caustic or anything like that. The truck was dropped off on 9/28 (I make the appointment in early August and this was the earliest spot they had available). I was able to borrow a buddy's...

Last Ram I will ever purchase

It doesn't help that just about everything is disposable these days. Nothing lasts. I have 20+ year old tube TV that is still going strong. Every single HD flat screen I've owned has never made it past 5 years. Same with appliances.

Last Ram I will ever purchase

I can understand your frustration, but it seems like every car maker these days is having issues with their vehicles. My Ram has been in the shop since September 28. I had to make the appointment a month and a half ahead of time. 2 weeks for parts to arrive. Multiple issues with the truck, some...

    Very Poor Service

Had an appointment for Sept 28, which I booked back at the beginning of August. I texted the dealership on the 4th of October for a status update. The reply was that they probably will not be able to look at the truck until the 6th. I still haven't heard back from them. I have no doubt that...

Asking for a courtesy vehicle from the dealership

Friend, I gave them a bad review on Google not because they didn't "act quickly enough," but because they flat out refused to reimburse me for the battery that died the day after it was sold to me. I removed the bad review after they agreed to reimburse me. The cabin air filter being dirty is...

Asking for a courtesy vehicle from the dealership

Obviously its up to them if they want to loan me a courtesy vehicle. I understand that. Maybe my question wasn't clear. I'm asking how hard should I push on them for it. If these issues weren't caused directly by them, I wouldn't be pushing for a loaner.

Asking for a courtesy vehicle from the dealership

Maybe "asking" isn't the proper term. More like "demanding" I guess. Am I being the a-hole here? Too Long Didn't Read Version: Truck was sold to me as "Certified Pre-Owned" but had aftermarket performance parts on it that have been causing me problems. Long story: In 2021 I bought a...

Vibration when accelerating at low speed

I had the same issue, and it was driving me crazy until I discovered how to turn off the MDS. Funny thing, now that I turn off the MDS every time I drive the truck, my gas mileage has actually gone up.

Cleaning the plastic trim around the rear sliding window?

2017 Ram 1500 The plastic trim above and below the rear sliding window is looking streaked and grimy. Any suggestions on how to clean it? The truck is washed every 2 weeks, but regular washing isn’t helping with this.

    MDS delete or not?

My only experience with your question is turning off the MDS using the gear buttons every time I drive the truck for the past 3 months. Before, I was averaging 16.5 to 17.5 mpg. Since turning the MDS off, I've been averaging 17.5 to close to 19 mpg.

    Need help diagnosing an issue

Ok, for the past 3 months, I have turned off the MDS every time I've driven the truck. My mpg average per the gauge in the truck used to vary between 16.5mpg and 17.5mpg depending on where I was driving. With the MDS turned off, the mileage has increased from 17.5mpg to 18.5mpg. Sometimes up to...

    Need help diagnosing an issue

I’ve been driving with the mds off the past couple of weeks, and there has been zero impact on my mpg as shown on the dash. I reset the mpg twice just to make sure. Still averaging 17.5 mpg with it off. As I said, car makers really need to give customers the option of permanently disabling...

Need help hunting down a rattle/clunk

2017 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi It’s kind of hard to describe, but I can feel it more than I can hear it. When hitting a bump, I can feel a rattle through the steering wheel and gas pedal and brake pedal. Also, when stopped, if I move the steering wheel back and forth a couple of inches, I can feel...
