The part number on Chrysler website keeps showing a 2006 8.25 205mm
So is this an 8” ring gear ? If so will
USA standard so C8.0-IFS-c master differential rebuild kit
And
USA standard ZG C8.0-456 ring and pinion set work for the front diff being an 8” ring set?
I can’t seem to figure it out.
the vin decodes 205m
I have 12 bolts on cover
rock auto contradicts the cover bolts by saying the 8” has 10 bolts
And I’m not certain what I have
2008 Dodge Ram 1500 has 9.25 rear
Unknown front lol?
Any help???
So here is a picture of the tag on the front and yeah I’m a dingus it says 3.92 right on it . But is it an 8”ifs 9.25aam 9.25 Dana the vina say 205 so is that an 8” gear? For front? I need to install the 4.56 in the front next. Any ideas ?
Ok so I got the 4.56 gear installed in the rear this evening! ,
Well suited for 35’s kinda stinks I was looking to put 38-40s on it soon lol so that is a little bit of a bummer I was initially assuming I had 3.55s I don’t know why but I did all my math on previously having 3.55s but after...
Here is a better view I’m fixing to grind it out so I can get the backlash within .06-.010 thousand
And are you sure I have 3.92s?
Hmm I couldn’t find a vin tag in the glove department and just assumed it was 3.55s guess I shouldn’t assume lol where is that info found?
It looks like I may have to grind some of the rear housing to accept the gear. That’s the only thing I can find pertaining to the 06-08 range having maybe a slightly beefier rear housing and I have two headsets here CR925456
Richmond
And zig C9.25-456 standard gear set thinking maybe there was a...
well sh$t I had some clearance issues with the carrier hitting the pinion at the two larger knuckle areas of the spicer 80754. lsd
what brand gears did you install? I just tried Richmond excels with clearance issues.
so I bought Richmond gears also from 3.55s to 4.56 I bought the cross pin also after installing and removing three times come to see that the the carrier would hit the pinion while spinning which carrier did you have ?
or use ? and did you use your stock shim?
2008 dodge ram 1500 3.55 to 4.56 gear in rear with spicer 80754 carrier not clearing the pinion gear.
I have the slightly beefier 06-08 9.25 housing. which if I a reading correctly will need ground down to clear the gear.
what about the carrier? it hits when spinning ?
from what I see guys...
