Would be interested in knowing how you make out if you don't mind sharing afterwards. It sucks but I think I'll have to stop being stubborn and let them go for around the $200 mark and convince myself that any amount is better than them sitting in a box taking up space haha. -

Right I was just throwing that out there for added thought into selling price. You want to do $300-$400 for the tails then the buyer has to pay an additional $130 or so for the conversion adapter kit and do the work of getting that himself, separately, makes it a tough sell. -

Just throwing this out there as an FYI. I did the same and replaced my OEM LED tails with a set of Recons. It's been a year so maybe things have changed, but Recon requires you to re-use the OEM wiring harness. So when you go to sell your OEM set, they have no wiring. Apparently it is near... -

Did Recon send me the wrong taillights?
Pretty sure you got the set meant for trucks with non OEM LED tails. I have these on my '14 and you have to reuse the wiring from the stock OEM, the recons do not come with any wiring or connectors -

Haha funny that we are opposite but yes just goes to show there's always personal preference to take into account! Your last sentence has me confused as I definitely didn't say anything about one being better or worse but I think I'm just reading that wrong. -

Differences that I can easily point out and why I chose the Recon. They made a set for trucks with OEM LED's right away..Spyder's are yet to be released. The C-Bar is actually red instead of white..fits my Black/Red theme perfectly and I felt that the white would stick out like a soar thumb... -

Yes, but depends on your truck. 3rd brake light is plug n play for any model. For the tail lights you have to have OEM LED tails otherwise you will need to purchase a separate adapter to make them work. Yes, scrape off the old sealant and add the new stuff. -

Yea just as the others already stated, get some rubber door weather stripping and you'll be fine. I used cheap stuff from Walmart and it worked perfect. RECON 3rd Brake light
Mine is a 14 but yes it's great..2 screws and 1 plug..simple as it comes. Sexy AF and NO MORE LEAKS! Only complaint I'll give is for the cargo lights..they don't point down enough so the first 2 feet of your bed (from the cab back) does not get lit up. Pic kind of shows the focus of the light...
