Learned Some Interesting Things the Last 2 Weeks

When I let up on the gas approaching a stop sign it always runs up to 99 MPG also, for a few seconds. And when I top a hill using CC, for a few seconds it will run 99 MPG, then the transmission downshifts and it's back to 15.

Learned Some Interesting Things the Last 2 Weeks

    My 6.4 gets 99 MPG...coasting downhill with a tailwind.

    Reached a Milestone

Dirty? You should see mine. I took a hose and rag to it about mid-March, then put a cross-country drive on it through rain, mud, and dust and it was so covered with crud you could write your name on it. Then I've had to park under a carport for a month where there are several nesting...

    Gas vs Diesel

Don't know where you got that from. I have no issues with diesels, or a particular preference for gas. Name calling is more than childish. What possible reason would I have have to lie? And there is no ignorance involved as I know what I'm talking about. I am flat out telling you that the...

    Gas vs Diesel

The 6.4/8-speed will do just fine on its own to keep your speed under control.

    Gas vs Diesel

    Gas vs Diesel

Methinks your mileage would be a tad better if you kept your max towing speed at 65 or less. And it would lower your odds of killing someone because you're towing way too fast. You know, just tossing that out there. :driver:

    For the 7-pin Experts

There is no way to disable the back-up camera, and it irritates the hell out of me when it blinks on and I can see it out of the corner of my eye every time I put it in reverse when I'm trying to watch my mirrors (especially at night, even though the screen is dimmed as much as possible), so I...

    Dang automatic brake

Which would really be a PITA when getting in and out opening and closing multiple gates while checking the south forty. A lot of us use our trucks as trucks while riding dirt roads without the seat belt while checking fence.

    Dang automatic brake

Another thing I'm glad I don't have. I can back up with the door open at 60 MPH. I did one time "forget" to put the knob in park before I got out and the truck didn't go anywhere. The knob shifter was a learning curve for a while.

    Tires

I don't think I've ever seen that. It looks like they molded a bald tire then glued the treads on afterward.

    Mpg

Mine shows 99 MPG all the time just by letting up on the pedal and coasting. You know, for like 10 seconds then it's back to 12 MPG again.

No parking sensors when tailgate is off?

One more thing I'm glad I don't have to deal with since I don't have that.

Running Lights through 7-Pin Trailer Plug Not Working

Getting an appointment for dealer service

Interesting - I have a small "ooze" leak from my rear main seal that I am going to need to make an appointment to get fixed in the near future. If the dealership tells me that they can't get to me for 2+ months and in the meantime the ooze gets worse and the engine freezes up for lack of oil, I...

Full-speed Forward Collision Warning Plus not working?

These issues wouldn't be a problem if people would stop letting the vehicle do the decision making. There's an old pilot's saying, "Just fly the plane.", meaning it's your truck and you're in charge of controlling it - not some set of unreliable sensors.

    New Power Folding Mirror Question

    Everthing works but fog lights

On my wife's Jeep Patriot the control was on the end of the turn signal. You had to pull out on the knob to enable the fog lights.

    Tow/Haul Button not working

I'm sure you know this, but to clarify - the traction control is on by default; pushing the button disables it. On the other hand, the T/H light is supposed to come on when you push it to indicate it is enabled.

    Dear Ram,

This is the reason I opted for vinyl seats and floor. In order to get carpeting and/or cloth seats I had to take a $2200 package with a bunch of crap I had no use for.

    Dear Ram,

I know I did. I walked in, handed the salesman my online build sheet, and told him to sell me this truck. And I can back up with my door open at 50 MPH if I want.

5th wheel max weight for 2024 2500 diesel longhorn

We already have it. I have 3900# as it is. If I had gone with the same trim but added the diesel I still would have had about 3100# of payload capacity.
